AU where Hanna is not an agent.

Wishes actually works just as well for Hanmu as it does for Yeongsoo

I wish I'd never met you
Wish I never touched your hand
On the day I really thought
You were the only one
That I could ever really love

"Timjangnim, a woman is here to see you. She says she has information on the whereabouts of Taedong River 1 and requested to deliver it herself. We've already vetted her ID and checked for weapons and espionage tools," Oh Dongjae reported.

Lee Kangmu nodded while not even looking up from his files. "Show her in."

"Yes, sir," Dongjae left, and Kangmu continued organizing his papers around his messy desk. A few seconds later, the heavy wooden door to his office opened again. He heard a quiet voice say something indiscernible outside before the door shut.

Kangmu looked up at the woman who'd just entered his office. A familiar pair of dark eyes stared back at him. The papers he'd been holding fell from his hand and scattered all over his desk. He tried to say something, but his vocal chords felt like they were cemented in place.

"Lee Kangmu," the short-haired woman said, making no attempt at coming closer from where she stood at the door. "It really is you."

Kangmu could hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears. His mouth opened and he barely managed to choke out two words.

"Jang Hanna."

At the sound of her name, Hanna tilted her head.

"I was half expecting you to not remember who I was."

"Why wouldn't I?" Kangmu blurted out. He did his best to appear calm and composed on the outside when he felt like he just wanted to run as far away from this situation as possible. The dark gleam in Hanna's eyes gave away her emotions of pain and anger without her having to say anything.

"Why did you—"

"You said you had information," Kangmu cut her off. "Is that true?"

Hanna looked him up and down. "It is. But answer my question first before I say anything. Why did you leave?"

Kangmu swallowed.

"Mianhae."

Rage flashed in Hanna's eyes. "That's it? You're sorry? That's all you have to say to me after abandoning me six fucking years ago? What the fuck is wrong with you, Lee Kangmu?"

"If I told you, you wouldn't believe me," Kangmu said. His voice sounded strained even to him.

"If you want the information about your stupid Northern spy, you'll tell me everything," Hanna demanded.

Kangmu slammed his palm down onto his desk. "I won't have you ordering me around my own office. Give me the information and then get out."

The two stood there for a few moments, both stunned into silence. Kangmu had never lashed out at her like that. Neither knew what to say. Kangmu's pride forbade him from apologizing again.

Hanna's fists tightened at her sides and her eyes watered with angry tears.

"You're not the man I once knew."

She turned on her heel and went for the door, but Kangmu called her name right before she turned the doorknob.

"Wait, Hanna-ya..."

Against her better judgement, Hanna froze, waiting to hear what he had to say.

"Jebal... I need that information. You will be paid handsomely if it's useful."
