MEREDITH'S POV:
I open my eyes slowly. My eyes go wide as I see derek looking at me. I grin, hiding my face in my pillow.

I pull away from the pillow. "Were you watching me sleep?" I scrunch my nose. "Yes.. you look so peaceful" he grins, kissing my nose, making me giggle.

"Why don't you sleep instead of watching me?" I chuckle. "Your snoring woke me up" he says. "I do not snore" I say. "You do.. it's concerning honestly.. so.. so loud" he says. I gasp. I pick up a pillow, hitting him with it.

I giggle as he grabs it off of me, hitting me with it. I squeal as he throws the pillow onto the floor, tickling me playfully. "Stop.. stoppp" I giggle. He runs his hands up to my cheeks, kissing me softly. I smile, kissing him again.

My phone buzzes. I lean over him, picking it up. I gasp. "What?" He says. "What's the date today?" I ask. "Um.." he furrows his brows.

"Its our anniversary" I say. "What?" He says. "One year ago today we went on our first date" I grin. "So it is" he smiles. "You forgot" I pout. "I did not" he says.

"I got you a present" he says. My eyes light up and a huge smile appears on my face. "Really?" I ask. "Of course.. I remember things" he rolls his eyes. "Where is it? where is it!?!" I say excitedly. He chuckles.

"Go get my bag baby" he says, sitting up. I jump onto of bed, running into the living room. I run back in, sitting next to him. I give him his bag.

He pulls out a box. He hands it to me. I open it. It's a small silver neckelace with black engraved writing in it. 'I want all of you, forever, you and me, everyday' it reads. A 'the notebook' quote.

"The notebook?" I look at him. "We watched it on our first date" he smiles. "I remember" I smile, my eyes going glossy. "Don't cry" he chuckles, putting his hands on my cheeks. "No promises" I smile, trying to blink away my tears.

"I got you something too!" I kiss him softly before jumping out of bed and running into the living room. I grab something out of my bag and run back into the bedroom. I hand him a box. He opens it.

Inside is a block of clear resin. Inside the resin is a red rose and gold glitter mixed in it. "It um- its the rose you got me.. on our first date" I say.

"Do you like it?.. its lame.. I know.. your presents way nicer but I thought it was cute and I- I didn't do it myself.. I um- I sent it to a girl who did it for me.. I dunno.. she had a website online.. I just- I wanted to keep the rose coz- I dunno and-" I ramble.

He cuts me off, kissing me deeply. I smile against his lips, running my fingers through his hair as I kiss him back. "You kept the rose?" He whispers. "Yeah" I smile.

"I also got myself a bracelet with little pieces of it in too.. it was breaking apart.. the rose.. so I was sad because I wanted to keep it and I told izzie and she had the idea and.. yeah" I say.

He holds my hand, looking at the bracelet. "They're beautiful" he says, looking at the rose. I smile. "Thankyou baby" he kisses me softly.

He puts it on the bedside table. "Can you.." I hand him the neckelace he got me. I hold my hair out of the way as he puts it on. "Thankyou" I smile.

"I love it so much" I hold the charm in my hand "I love you so much" I wrap my arms around him, hugging him tight. "I love you so much too" he smiles as I pull away slowly. I kiss him deeply.

"And later.." he pulls something out of his bag. "The notebook.. food.. snacks and-" he holds up the dvd. "Lots and lots of cuddles" I cut him off, wrapping my arms around him, kissing his face. He smiles. "I was gonna say sex but-" he teases. I giggle.

"I've gotta get ready for work" he says. I whine. "Sorry" he chuckles softly. "Okay.. I'm going to izzies room.. come say bye before you go okay?" I say. He chuckles softly, nodding.

I give him loads of kisses before getting up. I get ready quickly, going to izzie and Alex's room.

I walk in. They're in bed kissing. "Make room for me" I climb onto their bed, sitting between them. "Go away" Alex says. "You go away" I say. "This is my room!" He says. Me and izzie giggle.

"Did he like the gift?" Izzie asks. I nod. Cristina walks in. "Move!" She says, sitting between me and Alex. He groans, getting up. He sits on the end of the bed instead. I chuckle.

"Yeah he liked the gift.. and look what he got me" I smile, showing them the neckelace. "Its a quote from the notebook.. that's the movie we watched on our first date.. my favourite" I smile. "Aww" izzie says. I smile.

"You're so goo goo these days" cristina says. I giggle. "I am not!" I say. Derek walks in. "Okay I'm going" he says. "Okay.. bye honey" I kiss him as he leans over to me.

"Be careful.. if you get yourself shot I'm gonna be pissed" I say. "I wasn't planning on it but okay" he grins. I giggle. I kiss him again.

"Bye" he stands up straight. "Bye.. I love you" I say. "I love you too" he walks out. "Goo goo" Alex and cristina say. I roll my eyes, chuckling.

"I think its sweet.. you're in love.. love is good" izzie says. "I am.. and it is" I smile. Alex and cristina roll their eyes. I chuckle as izzie throws a pillow at him.
