I'm sat on the bed watching derek work at his desk. He takes a sip of his whiskey. "Daddy" lilia walks over to him. "Daddy's working baby" I say.

I frown as I see derek looking at his wedding ring, fiddling with it in his hands. "Sweetheart, are you okay?" I ask. "Mhm?" He asks.

I walk over to him. "Baby" I put my hands on his cheeks, making him look at me. "Are you high?" I ask. He smiles.

I pick up his drink, sniffing it. "This has weed in it! You put weed in a drink?!" I hit him. "No, baby.. I didn't do it" he says.

"You eat weeds?" Lilia asks confused. Derek laughs hysterically. I roll my eyes. "Daddy" she giggles as he picks her up. He kisses her cheek. "You're tiny!" He says.

"Meredith have you seen how small she is?" He asks. "Didn't feel small when I was pushing her out of my vagina but whatever" I mumble.

"Tiny head" he squeezes her head in his hands. "Daddy" she giggles hysterically. "Careful" I chuckle.

"Lilia" he whispers. "Yeah?" She looks up at him. "You wanna play aeroplanes?" He whispers. She nods enthusiastically.

He picks her up, holding her above his head. "Brrooooommm" he runs around the room. She giggles hysterically, holding her arms out either side of her. I chuckle.

He puts her down. "My go now" he says. "Daddy I can't lift you!" She giggles. He whines. He sits on the floor infront of her.

"I'm sowwy daddy.. do you want to play something else instead?" She asks. He nods enthusiastically. Wow, alcohol and cannabis is not a good mix for him.

"Meredith can you carry me?" He asks. "No" I say. I walk over to them. I grin, sitting on his lap on the floor. He wraps his arms around me.

He puts his hands on my cheeks. He just looks into my eyes for a while. He kisses me.

"Mommy" lilia says. I look at her. "Can you stop distracting daddy? We playing a game" she says seriously. I chuckle. "I'm sorry baby" I climb off of him. I kiss her cheek. "It okay" she says.

"No, mommy! You play too pwease" she says as I'm about to leave. I sit back down. "What do you wanna play?" I ask.

"Let's play hide and seek.. go hide baby" Derek says. She giggles, standing up. "Count to.. 100!" She says. "Okay" I smile. We close our eyes. She runs away.

He grabs my face, kissing me. "I'm so angry with you.. you're supposed to be working, not getting high" I pull away. He kisses me again.

I smile, pulling away again. "Stop" I giggle, putting my hand over his mouth. He whines. I grin.

"Do you think it's been 100 seconds yet?" I ask. "Mhm.. yeah" he nods. We get up.

We go to her room. We grin at eachother as we see her stood in the middle of her room with her hands over her eyes so 'We can't see her'

"Where is lilia?" We play along. "Look under the bed" I say. I put my hand over my mouth, laughing I shock as he picks the phone thing up, looking under. "Nope, not there" He puts it back down.

Lillia starts giggling. I smile. "I hope we find her before we order a mcdonalds otherwise she won't be able to get one" Derek says.

"I'm hewe!" She moves her hands away. We gasp. "Baby! We were looking for you everywhere!" I scoop her into my arms. She giggles.

"I'm so glad we found you!" I kiss her cheek a bunch of times, holding her like a baby in my arms. "Derek! No! Ahh!" I scream as he picks me up bridal style, holding both of us.

Me and lilia both laugh hysterically. "Put us down!" I say. He puts us down. Lilia is still laughing.

"Let's go to mcdonalds!" He picks her up, putting her on his shoulders. She holds onto his hair and he holds her legs so she doesn't fall off.

"You're not driving" I point at him. "We'll walk baby!" He says. "Its dark out.." I say. "So?" He asks. "Okay" I say.

We're walking down the street. It's really dark. "Baby I'm scared" I wrap my arms around his waist. He carries lilia on his hip instead and wraps his spare arm around my shoulder.

"Mommy, no monsters can get you.. thewe's no closets or beds outside, silly" lilia giggles. "Yeah, you're right" I smile.

"And daddy here.. Daddy pwotect us" she says. He kisses her head. I smile. We arrive at mcdonalds and me and lilia sit at the table as derek orders the food.

I see a drunk guy stumble through the door. "Come here sweetie" I whisper, picking her up. I sit her on the edge of the table infront of me.

"Do you have any change?" He stumbles over. "No, sorry" I wrap my arms loosely around lilia protectively.

"Well you're in mcdonalds.. you must have some money" he says. "My husband is paying" I say. "Really?" He asks.

"He's over there" I signal towards him. He looks at him. "Oh, maybe he has money" he says. "Maybe you can ask someone else" I say.

"Bitch" he mumbles drunkenly. "Don't swear infront of my daughter" I say. He walks away. "Bastard" I say. He turns back around.

"Is everything okay love?" Derek asks, kissing my head before sitting next to me. "Yeah" I smile at the guy. He mumbles something incoherent before walking away.

"Mommy, what was wrong with that guy?" Lilia asks. "He must just be tired" I say. "Oh" she nods.

The food comes over and we thank the guy. Derek sits lilia on his lap instead of the table as we start eating.

"I thirsty" lilia says, passing me her empty juice bottle. Derek holds his drink straw to her lips. She drinks some. She makes a face. I chuckle. She's never tried coke before.

"Do you not like it?" He asks. "I do" she drinks more. "Not too much.. you'll be up all night" I chuckle. She smiles.

She climbs back onto the table and sits infront of us. I chuckle. "I love you mommy" she says. I smile. "I love you too" I say.

"Daddy" she says. He keeps eating. "Daddy.. Daddy.. daddy" she says. He doesn't answer. "Dewek" she says. He immedietly looks up.

He squints at her. "No, I sowwy.. I sowwy daddy" she stands up. He keeps looking at her. She whines. "Mommy" she hides in my arms. I giggle.

"No! Ahh!" She squeals as he grabs her off of me. "What did you just call me?" He tickles her. She giggles hysterically, wriggling in his arms.

"Say sorry" he keeps tickling her. "Sowwy! Sowwy!" She finally gets out. He stops. She pants out of breath. We laugh.

"Don't ever call me that.. its daddy to you, understand?" He says. She nods. "And you" he looks at me. I hit him over the head lightly. Lilia giggles. He grins.

After we finish our food we walk back home, tuck lilia into bed and go to sleep.
