chapter 105

1 month later:
"Derek please don't leave" meredith says, trying to sooth lilia as she crys in her arms.

"I'll only be gone 2 minutes sweetheart, I need a cigarette, and seeing as you won't let me smoke on the balcony.. I have to go outside" I say. I kiss her head before getting in the elevator.

I hear the baby crying loud. I push the button and get back out. I walk over to them. "Okay, its okay" I carefully pick her up.

She calms down a little, snuggling her face into my chest. I kiss her head. I hold the baby's hand. She holds onto my finger, sucking on it like a pacifier. I smile.

"Oh, Milo I'm so so sorry" meredith walks over to him. "I haven't fed you today, have I?" She puts some food in his bowl. She strokes him a few times, kissing his head.

She looks at me as I put lilia in her crib next to our bed. "Sweetheart" I smile small at her. She walks over to me. She chuckles softly as I bend down, picking her up. She wraps her legs around me.

I carry her outside. "Baby" she says. 3 of my most trusted guys come out of the elevator. "If anything happens to my baby I will kill you.. and anyone you've ever laid eyes on" I say. They nod.

Me and meredith get in the elevator, me still holding her. "Where are we going?" She asks. "Meredith and derek time" I say. She smiles.

We go downstairs and I sit in my car with her straddling my lap. She cuddles her face into my neck, hugging me tight as I light a cigarette.

I sigh as I breathe out the smoke. "Is that better baby?" She giggles. I grin, nodding. She kisses my cheek.

"I have a work event tomorrow.. I know its late notice but will you come with me?" I ask. "I'd love to.. lilia too?" She asks. "Of course" I smile.

Meredith's pov:
"Sweetheart stay still" he chuckles as I wriggle excitedly on his lap. "I haven't been out in literally like.. a month" I say.

"Are you still wearing those diaper things?" He pulls on my joggers, looking down them. I hit his hand away, laughing. "No!" I say. He grins.

"Can we go see lilia again now?" She asks. "Yes" I say, taking one last puff of my cigarette before tossing it onto the floor. We go back upstairs.

The guys leave and I thank them as derek walks over to lilia. I smile. He's so protective of her. It's really sweet.

He picks her up, holding her infront of him, supporting her head. She mumbles something incoherent. He smiles.

He leans down slowly and kisses her head. "I love you" he says. I walk over to them. I put my hand on his back, kissing his cheek.

"Can I get some sleep?" I ask. "Of course" he says. "You sure?" I ask. "Yes love, I've got my baby girl" he says in a baby voice, kissing her nose a few times. I grin. He glares at me. I giggle.

"Go to sleep" he says. I climb into bed. "Baby I'm gonna take her out for a drive, okay?" He asks. "Okay sweetheart" I mumble into my pillow. "I love you!" He says as he leaves. I drift off.

Derek's pov:
"Where do you want to go darling?" I look down at the baby. She just blinks. "Do you want to go on an adventure.. to see uncle mark? Do you want to see uncle mark?" I ask in a baby voice.

I put her in my car and drive us to work. I pick her up as we get out, taking her into the building.

I knock on marks office door. "Yes?" He says. I walk in. He gasps, walking over. "She wanted to see her uncle mark" I smile, handing her to him.

He smiles, sitting on his couch with her in his arms. I sit next to him. "Hows meredith?" He asks. "She's good.. she's sleeping right now, she's been getting hardly any sleep" I say.

"I thought she needed a break so I asked her to come with me to the gala tomorrow" I say. "Are you bringing this little Cutie pie aswell?" He asks in a baby voice, looking at her.

"Yes" I smile at her. She burps, blowing a bubble with her spit. We both chuckle. "You're so cute" Mark baby talks her. "She's so perfect.. so so perfect" I say in a baby voice, kissing her nose.

We hear someone clearing their throat and look up quickly. Meredith laughs. "You're so cute when your baby talking" she teases.

"You're supposed to be asleep!" I get up, hugging her. "I figured you'd be here and you're not allowed to be at work!" She hits me. "I was not going to-" I say. "Don't lie" she says. I sigh.

"I've had enough sleep" she smiles. "You were asleep for like, half an hour" I say. She shrugs. I kiss the side of her head a few times.

"Hi mark" she smiles, hugging him. "Hi" he smiles. I quickly slip out of the room whilst she's not looking. "Derek Christopher shepherd" she walks after me. "Baby" I whine, turning around.

"Don't baby me.. you're not working!" She grabs my hand. "Please! Please please please" I wrap my arms around her waist from behind. I kiss her cheek.

"No, you said that I'm not going back to the cafe.. so you're not allowed to work either!" She says.

"I need a distraction" i say. "From what?" She asks. "You" I say. "What? Did I do something?" She asks. "Yes" I say. She frowns, looking up at me.

"You're not letting me have that sweet ass of yours" I pinch it. She giggles. "Not for another few weeks" she says. "I know" I sigh.

"The doctor said 4 weeks" I say. "But I'm scared" she whispers. "Scared of what darling?" I ask. "That it'll hurt" she says. "I won't hurt you baby" I whisper in her ear. She smiles.

"Wait as long as you want.. but you're the one missing out" I grin. She chuckles.

We go back into mark's office. He passes her to me. "Hi" I whisper, kissing her head. "Derek can I have her?" Meredith asks. "Mhm?" I ask, smiling as the baby yawns.

Meredith chuckles. "Can I hold our daughter for a few minutes.. I won't drop her I promise" she says sarcastically. "Oh, yeah.. sorry baby" I pass her to her. She grins. I chuckle, kissing her softly.

"Your obsession with her is annoying" she says. "How can you not be obsessed with someone so freaking cute" I kiss her head. She chuckles. We say bye to mark and go back home.
