I'm at work sat at my desk with my colleagues stood around me. "Sir, its your wife again" April walks in. "Again? Why didn't you tell me the first time?" I pick up the phone.

"You told me that this was an important meeting" she says. "If my wife ever calls, you tell me straight away! Get out!" I yell. She leaves quickly.

"Hi honey, what's up?" I ask. "Derek lilias gone" she says. "What!?" I ask panicked. "I went into her room to check on her but she wasn't there.. I looked on her ipad because it was unlocked" she stops, taking a breath.

"She made a video saying she's running away" she says. I hear her crying quietly. "I'll be right there baby" I hang up.

"I need every guy I can get.. my daughter is missing.. I need everyone looking for her right now" I say. Everyone in the office gathers as many of my guys as they can and we leave to my apartment.

"Have you found her?" Meredith runs over to me as I walk in. "No, all of my guys are looking for her" I hug her.

"Baby" she pulls away. "Shit, I shouldn't have shouted at her" I whisper. "Its not your fault" she puts her hands on my cheeks.

"Yes it is, I've never shouted at her like that before" I whisper. "She was being rude, it's hard for her when you yell but you were right to do it.. don't blame yourself" she says.

"I'm gonna go and see if they've found anything.. stay here" I say. "No, my daughter is missing.. I have to help" she says.

"Baby, there's lots of people out there that's after me.. I can't look for lily whilst trying to protect you at the same time.. please" I say. "Fine" she says reluctantly. I go outside.

"Have you found her?" I ask. "Not yet boss" the guy says. "Then what the hell are you doing!? My two year old is by herself outside in the dark! Fucking find her now!" I yell.

I think for a while. Where would she know to walk to around here? I guess we go to the park a lot..

"You and you.. we're going to the park" I point at two of them. They follow me all the way there on foot.

"Boss!" One of them yell. I run over to him. He points down a small alleyway. I see her sat on the floor behind a trash can crying.

"Lily!" I run over to her. "Daddy!" She sobs as I pick her up. I hug her tight. All the anger in me from before fades away and my whole body fills with relief.

"I sowwy.. I weally sowwy daddy" she cries. "Please don't ever ever do that again lilia.. you could've gotten seriously hurt" I say. She nods.

"I'm sorry daddy shouted at you.. but you can't act like that.. and you can't leave home when me or mommy make you sad" I say.

"I love you so much princess" I say. She wraps her arms around me. "I wove you daddy" she sobs.

I grab her blanket and Teddy that she took with her and carry her home, holding her tight in my arms.

I take her inside. I put her down. "Baby!" Meredith runs over, pulling her into her arms, kneeling to the floor to her level.

"Don't you ever ever do that again" she puts her hands on her cheeks. "I wove you mommy" she says as meredith scoops her into her arms.

Meredith sobs into her hair, hugging her tight. "I love you too" she whispers.

Once we all finally calm down a little we get into bed. We both hold lilia tight in our arms until she falls asleep.

"We need a lock on the elevator doors.. and her windows.. and we need better security downstairs, how the hell didn't they see her leave?" she whispers. "Yeah, I'll get it all done tomorrow" I whisper.

I stroke lilias hair gently. Tears run down my cheeks. She wipes them with her thumbs.

"That was so scary" I whisper. "I know" she whispers. She rests her forehead against mine. We close our eyes.

We finally pull away. "She's naughty" she says. "Gets that from you" I say. She smiles small. She kisses me softly. "I love you so so much" I kiss her. "I love you too" she whispers. We lay down.

We hold hands, our fingers entwined over lilia as she sleeps. She soon falls asleep. I don't. I stay up watching lilia, making sure she's okay.
