Chapter 37

Engagement

Jennie was dressed in a very beautiful dress inside her room. She's preparing for the engagement party held in their own mansion's garden.

Eyes trained at her own reflection looking over her body-size mirror. She's looking awesome, gorgeously beautiful.

However, Jennie felt quite frustrated as she look at herself. Besides feeling all that frustration, she's also feeling exhausted and the party hasn't even started.

"What's wrong bride-girl? Why look so blue?" Suddenly, the door opened and Jisoo walks in. She was wearing a black long-sleeved dress, complimenting her body stature very well.

The raven moves inside her room with abandon. She's acting like it was her own room- completely messing with Jennie's bed cover as she flops over it.

Jennie hissed in irritation. "You're messing my bed, Chu!"

"What's the matter? We can just ask the maids to clean it up again. What is wrong with you?"

Jennie groans in both annoyance and frustration. Annoyance over her stupid cousin and frustration over her own feelings.

Jisoo however, felt like she was on the verge of dying from mixed amusement and amazement. This is the first time Jisoo could actually tell her brunette cousin is nervous. It was so obvious, the way Jennie unconsciously keeps on fiddling with her fingers and the way she can't stop looking at herself in the mirror? It all shows.

Not to mention, Jennie's face is scrunch in the obviousness of her feelings.

"You look constipated my dear cousin,"

Jennie turned to her cousin, eyeing her murderously but before she could speak, another entity enter her room, as soon as Taehyung saw her, he laugh out so hard.

"Pft- HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT THE HECK!"

Jisoo can't help but get infected with the guy's laughter and ends up laughing too. Jennie stared at the two with annoyance, feeling like she was unfairly being ridiculed, the brunette actress approached the two stars and raise her hands.

It was too late when Jisoo and Taehyung notice the upcoming slap to their shoulders- they both groaned in pain.

"Fuck!- WHAT the F!?"

"Jennie! What's wrong with you!"

"Tch." Jennie merely responds, she rolled her eyes before giving the two a death and scary glare. "What the fuck are you two doing here anyway?"

Getting more tired of her cousin and brother's stupid antics, Jennie look at the wall clock, it made her bite her lips.

"I should probably go," she muttered to herself, smoothing her dress one more time before breathing a deep one as she gives herself real talk and self-motivation mentally.

"Yeah, that's actually the reason we came here. Auntie told me to fetch you, Lalisa's already waiting downstairs. "

At Jisoo's words, Jennie gasps in surprise. "What!? Lisa's already downstairs!? Why didn't you tell me that first!"

In instant, Jennie takes a last look to ensure that she's looking her best self at the moment before rushing out of her room and into the reception garden where a few of their visitors was coming.

Lisa was nervous, she think she has never felt as much as nervous as she does more than every other thing in her whole life. If that even makes sense because the blonde is literally trying to overcome all her anxiety at the moment.
