Chapter Four.

Once you had put away the clean dishes you headed back to your master bathroom.
When you opened the door a wave of steam hit you in the face.

You were the type of person that loved your showers and baths at boiling temperature and Calum knew that.

He was bent over the bathtub putting bath salts into the water as you made your way into the room. Bubbles filled the tub to the brim as the clouds of steam rose from the water.

"Okay I think you're all set, just let me go get you a towel.", he said as he walked out of the room.

You tossed your hair into a messy bun on top of your head and stripped out of your clothes as you walked over to the tub.
When you lowered your foot in the water you couldn't help the moan that escaped your lips.
The water was the perfect temperature.
You sank down into the bubbles with a groan.
There was just something about a hot bubble bath after a crappy day that hit like no other.

Calum walked back into the room setting a few towels on the bathroom counter, "Here you go. Do you need anything else?"

You shook your head sinking down further into the bubbles, "God this feels amazing. If you ever decide not to be a super cool rockstar anymore you could definitely take up professional bath running."

He snorted at you nodding his head, "I don't really think that's a thing, but I'll have to keep it in mind. Okay well I'll leave you to it then."

He smiled and turned to make his way out of the room when you stopped him just before he could, "Cal?"

He looked at you over his shoulder with an eyebrow raised, "Yeah?"

"Will you stay with me please?"

He turned back around smiling softly at you, "Sure."

He made his way over to you, stripping out of his clothes in the process.

You scooted up in the bathtub so he would have enough room as he climbed in and sat down behind you, pulling you close.

You sat in silence for a moment just enjoying each others company.
You really appreciated the times like this with him. You didn't have to speak, just knowing he was there was all you needed to put you completely at ease.

You turned to him just enough so you could see his face, "Do you remember the night you told me you loved me?"

He smiled and nodded, his cheeks turning a slight shade of pink, "Of course I do, how could I forget that disaster?"

You started to laugh, "It was not a disaster! It was perfect."

He scoffed, splashing water at you, "It absolutely was not. I had it all planned out in my head too. I was going to make you this wonderful elaborate dinner, then once we were done I would take you down to the beach at sunset like we always did, serenade you for a bit with my amazing guitar skills, and then boom, tell you."

You hadn't stopped laughing since he started the story because you could remember all of it like it happened yesterday, "But of course I burnt literally all the food to the point we had to get Thai take away, I tripped when we got down to the beach pulling you down with me just as the waves came crashing in soaking us from head to toe, oh yeah, and my guitar strings broke before I even had a chance to play it. And then to top it all off, I blurted out "I love you" when you were walking out the door to your car because I didn't want to miss another opportunity. It was anything but perfect."
