"Okay so obviously you and Ash's birthday is next month and I know we usually do a joint party for you two that weekend of..." Ivy stated, looking down at the calendar on her phone.
You were currently driving down the road on your way to your childhood home in Frankenmuth from the Detroit airport.
You could've easily booked your flight to land at the Saginaw airport and driven thirty minutes to your house, but the one thing you loved about being back home was being able to drive the country back roads and take in all the scenery that you were deprived of in LA.You nodded, glancing over at her from behind the wheel, "What day does it fall on this year?"
You and Ashton's birthday were two days apart, his on the 7th, and yours on 9th.
Ever since you had become friends with Ivy and the guys and they made this discovery it had become a tradition for the two of you to have a party together every year."Ashton's is Wednesday, gross that's no fun and yours is Friday. Okay so that Saturday is the 10th, does that work for you?" Ivy replied looking over at you.
You nodded and shrugged, "Sure. I figure Calum and I will go to dinner or do something on my actual birthday like we normally do so that should be fine."
"Good, let me text everyone that date and tell them not to plan anything....other than your party I mean."
Ivy absolutely LOVED parties.
Well, she loved any excuse to throw a party.
And to be fair, she was great at it too.
She wasn't over the top per se, but she did love being extravagant.
You could honestly say that you had never had a birthday party like the ones Ivy had thrown for you and Ashton before moving to LA.You laughed at your friend, "Ivy I don't think you have to do that. You know everyone will be there. No one can tell you no."
She smirked with a shrug, "Well that may be true but I still like to be sure. Okay so party date is secured.." she paused furrowing her brow still looking down at her phone, "That's only two weeks away so it doesn't leave me much time to plan. I guess I'll have to get on it as soon as we get home Sunday."
You immediately shook your head, "There is no need to do anything major this year. You've been busy with planning the wedding, we've also been busy working on the Deck the Halls concert. You've got a lot on your plate. And I know Ashton would agree with me. Sooo why don't we just plan to do something at my house? Just us and the guys, takeout, a cake if you feel it's necessary-"
"Oh it's necessary." Ivy interrupted, holding her hand up, brows furrowed.
You laughed, "Okay fine and a cake. Could you live with that? Just for this year?"
Ivy sighed from beside you, "I mean I guess...that would make it a lot easier. But just this once! You know I love a good party."
"Deal. Okay so what's next on your agenda to discuss ma'am?"
Ivy rolled her eyes, "Hey you know how OCD I am about my calendar, I just want to make sure everything is in line and I don't have any overlapping. But anyways, so your party is the 10th, Ashton's bachelor weekend is the following weekend in Vegas from 15th through 19th...."
You snorted, "He chose Vegas?"
"Sadly. So I was thinking maybe we could do my bachelorette weekend August 5th through the 9th...? I thought that's cutting it close to the wedding but I didn't want the bachelorette and bachelor party to be so close together.."
