You woke up at 5:00 am the next morning.
You weren't sure if it was because you were excited knowing what the day held, or because you had basically tossed and turned the entire night.

Probably a bit of both.

Ivy's alarm wasn't set to go off for another hour but since you were already awake you figured you would venture down to the lobby and see if the continental breakfast was going yet or not so you could get some coffee.

You threw your hair up in a messy bun to get it out of your face and slipped on your cardigan, making sure to stick your phone in your pocket in case Ivy woke up and started to look for you, before quietly heading out the door.

And you were glad you had your cardigan because there was a slight chill in the air when you stepped outside.
But then again it was 5 in the morning.

It was so peaceful this time of the day, no sounds to be heard from any direction other than the sounds of your slippers scuffling on the pavement as you walked.

If you ever decided to be a morning person this would be a great time to go on walks to clear your head....but that was if you could voluntarily get yourself out of bed this early and you didn't see that happening.

When you reached the main entrance to the hotel and headed inside they were still in the process of getting everything set up the continental breakfast, but you could tell they were almost done, so you decided to just sit down at one of the tables in the lobby area and wait for them to finish.

You rounded the corner and saw a familiar face sitting at one of the tables slumped over and scrolling on his phone.

"Sam?"

He whipped his head around with a smile, "Morning beautiful."

You rolled your eyes and made your way over to him, sitting down at the vacant seat across from the table, "Good Morning to you too. What are you doing up?"

He locked his phone and sat back into the seat with a shrug, "Danny's snoring woke me up at 4 and I just couldn't go back to sleep. What about you?"

Well Sam, I tossed and turned the entire night because I'm currently fighting with the thoughts in my head that are telling me that I have some sort of feelings for your brother.

"Just couldn't sleep. A lot on my mind. So I figured I'd come down here and grab some coffee to start this long day. " You said with a shrug.

He nodded, "Understandable. I came for coffee too."

And then suddenly it dawned on you.
Well no it actually hit you in the face like a mack truck.
The drunken conversation you had with Sam two days prior on the stairs.
Holy shit how could you have forgotten that???
Okay in your own defense there's so much on your brain right now that you genuinely can't even remember what you had for breakfast yesterday much less a conversation you had at 1 am two days before.
Plus you hadn't really seen much of Sam at all yesterday because it was such a busy day.
But now that it was back on your radar you knew you had to ask him about what he said.
Because it would absolutely eat you alive if you didn't.

"Uh...hey Sam?"

He quirked an eyebrow at you clearly sensing the change in your tone, "Yeah?

"Do you happen to remember the conversation we had the other night? When we got home from the restaurant..?

"Fare I don't even remember anything past eating dinner that night," he laughed, "I didn't even know we had a conversation."

Maybe you should just forget it.
No point in bringing something up he didn't even remember.
.....right?
