It had been almost 5 years since Farren's world got flipped upside down. She moved across the country, got new friends, even a new relationship. Things finally seemed okay.
Until he came crashing back into her life when she least expected it.
I'm so sorry it's taken me this long friends, truly. I had every intention of finishing and uploading this chapter at the end of September but I live in Western NC and sadly was severely affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully my family and I are all okay and safe, and what was destroyed can be replaced. I'm making an effort to start writing again so if you're still here for this story please let me know! August 29th 2021 still cont..(🫣🥴😅) Farren POV
You gave Makenna's hand a reassuring squeeze before turning around and opening the door for the dressing room, "Guys..."
They all turned to the door simultaneously. "Ah! Is this the lovely girl who came to your rescue?" Danny asked with a smile.
You nodded, "Everyone meet Makenna."
They all three waved and said "hi" in unison. "Nice to meet you Makenna. Come on in! We don't bite....well, not hard atleast." Sam winked and you thought Makenna might pass out just from that one gesture.
"Thanks for bringing our Fare Bear back to us. We might have to get her a leash to wear so she can't wander off in the future." Josh laughed extending his hand towards her, "I'm J-"
"Josh Kiszka." She nodded, interrupting him, "Of course I know who you are." she said as she turned and looked around the room, "I know who all of you are. Thank you so much for taking a minute to let me meet you, I know you need to get ready for the show. But it really means a lot to me. You guys have been my favorite band for, well, a long time."
"And that really means a lot to us."
You turned at the sound of his voice to see Jake standing in the doorway behind you. And hot damn did he look good.
The olive green suit he was wearing had gold accents scattered across its entirety with beautiful butterflies stitched into both sides of his chest.
On top of trying not to drool it was taking everything in you not to physically lick your lips as you let your eyes trail down his tan chest.

"I'm Jake." He said shooting his hand in Makenna's direction, "Nice to meet you..?"
"Makenna." She smiled politely, shaking his hand.
"Makenna. Sorry for my absence. I was getting my suit on and my hair fixed, you know. This takes a lot of time." He laughed, waving his hands around himself.
Lies. This man looks like a Greek god as soon as he wakes up and he always has.
Before Makenna had a chance to reply, Natalie got up from her spot in the corner and slithered herself up to Jake's side clearly feeling neglected or jealous and jutted her hand in Makenna's direction, "Hiii. No one has introduced us. I'm Natalie. Jakes g-"
