Hi friends! Sorry it's taken so long for an update, work and school are kicking my butt right now. I'm going to try and do better!! If you like this story please give me some feedback!! That way I know I'm not just writing for myself lol. But anyways here's chapter two!!
____________________________________You and Ivy made your way into the conference room with barely a minute to spare. As you sat down at the table you looked around the room and noticed that luckily Andrew hadn't even arrived yet.
Andrew Warner aka Ivy's dad was the owner of Staples Center. He was one of the richest, most successful, people you had ever met but he never acted like it.
He and Ivy were actually two of the most humble, down to earth people you could be around.
It was one of the reasons why you loved them so much. They would do absolutely anything for anyone, wether they knew you or not. They were also the reason you had this amazing job.You and Ivy were the main event coordinators for Staples Center.
You worked with artists management about playing shows and coordinating dates, would meet with said artist regarding planning as well as what their needs are before and after the show, help with publicizing the events, honestly you name it, you probably do it.
It wasn't always easy but it was definitely fun.
You had gotten to meet some of your idols doing this job and you made sure to thank Ivy and Andrew regularly for giving you the incredible opportunity."Where's your dad? For once we're actually on time I want him to appreciate this moment." you whispered to Ivy as you sat down in your seat.
"Okay this "we" you speak of", she replied motioning between the two of you "isn't a thing because I'm never late. But I'm not sure. You know how he is, always has things to do, people to see." Ivy finished with an eye roll.
He wasn't always there, but Andrew tried to stay as hands on with the events as possible when time allowed so you knew when he himself called a meeting it was important.
While skimming the other faces at the table your eyes landed on the only other person you did know in the room, but sadly you wish you didn't.
"I'm sorry, can I help you Carter? Or am I just that pretty you can't look away?" you scoffed.
Carter adjusted himself in his seat with a smirk, "Not quite. Honestly Farley, I'm just shocked to see you sitting here at the table with all of us big kids. Oh wait I forgot, you're only here because you're best friends daddy felt sorry for you and gave you a job."
Carter Prince is the only other event coordinator for Staples Center but luckily you never really had to deal with him because he only worked on sports events.
He was the literal epitome of a "frat boy" living off daddy's money.
When you had first started he tried for almost 6 months to get you to go out with him. You had rejected every offer because one, Ivy told you it was the worst decision you could ever make, two he wasn't your type in the slightest, and three, well, because he was a dick. And that had only gotten worse when he finally realized you were never going to sleep with him.
Carter tried his best to get under your skin any chance he got, making sure to always call you the wrong name, the snide comments about your intelligence, trying to undermine your authority, you name it he has probably done it."Oh wow Carter did you get that one from daddy too? You know, since he gives everything else to you?" you replied returning his smirk, Ivy snickering beside you.
Carter sat straight up in his chair ready to fire back at you when Andrew walked through the door, sitting down the head of the table "Good morning everyone."
"Good morning sir. Did you have a nice weekend?" Carter replied in the sweetest most sing songy voice you had ever heard.
Gag me with a spoon.
