Farren POV

When you and Jake got back to the beach you could feel all of your friends eyes on the two of you.
Mostly out of curiosity.
But then there was Natalie, and well, she was shooting you daggers.

Clearly this "fake" relationship wasn't so fake to her.

"So, uh are we going to get something to eat? I'm starving!" You said with a laugh, trying to ease the weirdness.

"Actually we all got stuff from the food trucks while you two were off doing whatever you were doing." Natalie spit out sidling herself up to Jake's side, "And now it's time to go so."

You shot her a look before glancing at Jake who was also seemingly as annoyed , "I'm pretty sure me and Fare have time to get something to eat. I mean for fucks sake we could walk to the amphitheater from here."

"That would be like a 20 minute walk...." Josh started, but seeing the look on Jake's face he stopped and nodded adding, "But if we had the time to, sure, absolutely."

Jake was trying his best to keep Natalie off of him while she was leeching herself onto his side.
But not without sure to look your direction every two seconds to make sure you were watching.
You didn't want to give her the satisfaction.

"Okay whatever let's just go. Is our ride already here?" You asked walking towards the entrance of the park before anyone could answer.

"What the fuck was that??" Mackenzi whispered as she ran up to your side.

You threw your hands up, "I wish I knew. I mean I don't particularly like Natalie, but I've never been anything but decent to her. So I don't really understand where that attitude came from." You finished with a shrug.

"She's so jealous." Mackenzie snorted, looking over her shoulder at the rest of the group trailing behind you, "I mean god just look at her! She's practically hanging on to Jake like a monkey."

You looked over your shoulder just enough that you could see, "Yeah that seems to be a reoccurring thing with her. But she has no reason to be jealous of me. Jake and I are ancient history."

Even after your talk at the lighthouse, did you actually believe that?
You had to admit it stung a little that he had agreed with you that your kiss had meant nothing.
Because for one you didn't think that...AT ALL.
That kiss was quite literally mind blowing.
You had just said that it meant nothing because your emotions were all over the place and also because you were pissed about him being with Natalie.
Which he had also made a point to make it very clear that that wasn't what it had looked like, and to be quite honest you should've believed him from the get go.
Natalie is the farthest thing from Jake's type....well the "type" you once knew.
Instead you let your own jealousy monster cloud your judgement and start another unnecessary fight with him.
Fucking hormones.
So now you and Jake were back to being on good terms for the 500th time.
How long this one will last?
Stay tuned to find out.
But even though you both had talked it all out, you still couldn't get your mind off that night.
That kiss.
Did you want to kiss him again?
Absofuckinglutley, more than once, all over his bo-

FARREN. NO. CALUM.

You shook yourself out of your thoughts because you clearly weren't thinking straight, plus you missed what your friend had said, "Sorry, what? I zoned out."
