When you got out of the shower you felt nice and refreshed, all thoughts of Jake seemingly washed from your mind.

Well...for the most part.

You went ahead and curled your hair and did your makeup in the bathroom since you knew Calum had already showered and wouldn't need the room.
You weren't really in the mood to do a full on glam look so you simply added a little bit of wing to your liner and threw on a bold lip to match your dress and called it a day.

When you walked back into the room to grab your dress, Calum was no where to be found.
You walked over to the window and peeked out behind the curtain to see him propped against the rail of the walk way talking to someone on FaceTime.
Judging by the huge smile he had on his face you would bet it was either his sister or his mom.

His happiness made your heart melt.
You hated that he didn't get to see his family as often as you saw yours.
And that was saying a lot considering you saw yours once every other month, if that?
Calum really only got to see his family once or twice a year if he was lucky, but depending on his touring and writing schedule it was hard to plan a good time to go.

You walked back over to the closet to grab your dress out of its garment bag and slip it on.
Once you had gotten it on and situated, you sat down on the edge of the bed to put on your shoes but quickly realized that your dress wasn't exactly going to give you the movement you needed to bend over and fix the straps of your heels.

But you sure were going to try.

You sat there twisting your body in the weirdest ways possible to try and fix your shoes with no success, but luckily you heard the door open above you meaning Calum had chosen that moment to come back inside the room.

You stayed where you were on the edge of the bed mainly because you couldn't really move, and because you still needed to put your shoes on.

Calum must've seen your struggle because when you turned your head to see him he had
an amused expression on his face, "Would you like some help?"

You managed to finagle your body back into the upright position with a sigh of relief, "Yes please."

Calum nodded and sat down in front of you on the floor, gently pulling one of your legs into his lap as he began to work on your shoe.

"So who were you talking to out there?" You asked as you watched him work.

He grinned to himself, "My mum."

Calum's Australian accent wasn't as thick as it once was.
None of the guy's accents were.
And that was apparent in their music, interviews, and just everyday dialect.
But any time Calum talked to or about his mom you could always hear his accent thicken and become more prominent, you loved it.
