Hi friends 😊
I hope you all have had a great week!
Mine has been pretty sucky to be honest, on top of finals and studying I managed to get the flu which has been awful 😫
So I had to finish writing and editing this chapter while basically bed ridden, so if it sucks I'm so sorry 😭

When your alarm went off the next morning at 7 you absolutely did not want to get up.
Your eyes practically shutting themselves to tell you to go back to sleep.
But then you remembered why you were even having to get up this early in the first place and the excitement for your best friends over took your tiredness.

You rolled over and sat up, putting your feet on the floor to see that the pullout couch had already been fixed and put back in its place signaling Jake was already up and awake.

It brought you back to the morning in Nashville when you tried to work Jakes coffee machine (that wasn't plugged in) and him telling you he had been up since 6.

"What a weirdo." You groaned to yourself, not understanding how someone could voluntarily wake up before 8 am.

You stood up and rubbed the sleep from your eyes and walked over to the mirror to redo your messy bun before heading out the door, down the breezeway to your room, hoping and praying Calum was awake or atleast not dead so he could hear you knock.

"Calllll?" You called as you knocked on the door.

Nothing.

"CALUM." You said a little bit louder, hitting the door harder.

Still nothing.

You then decided to go over and knock on Ivy and Ashton's door as a last hope, but naturally they didn't answer either.

"Ughhh I need to shower." You whined to yourself as you turned around and slid down the door to sit in front of it.

You pulled your phone out of your sweater pocket and saw that you only had 13% battery left after not charging it last night.

You didn't want to call Ashton or Ivy to bother them l about something as minuscule as you not being able to get in your room, especially not when they had a million other things in their mind.
Because it was your own fault that you couldn't get in.
So you decided to call the next most reliable person you knew.

Luke.

And naturally, he picked up after one ring.

"Morning Fareee. Did you get a good nights sleep?" He asked in his usual sing songy voice.

If you weren't so irked at not being able to get into your room it probably would've made you smile, "Yeah yeah kind of. Listen, you're still at the hotel right? Like you guys haven't left to go set up yet have you?"

"No I'm in the lobby getting some breakfast." He replied skeptically, "Why...?"

"Because I can't get into my rooooommmm." You groaned.

"What do you mean?"

"Last night after I helped Sam upstairs and I went to go back into my room, and realized I didn't have my key. I knocked on the door for longer than I probably should have but Calum never answered because he was already asleep."

"Then where did you sleep Farren??" Luke asked you, suddenly sounding like he was in protective dad mode.

"Jakes room." You winced as the words came out of your mouth because you knew how it would sound.

"..... I'm sorry I think I just heard you say Jakes room...." he repeated slowly.

"Yes I did but before your mind goes any further I slept in the bed and he slept on the pullout couch. He was the only person awake when this whole dilemma went down so he was my only option other than the car." You replied with a hard eye roll.
