Chapter 21: She's back!

HAPPYS POV
(4 days later)
I wake up in the hospital. This is my fourth day here and I'm being released today. I look over and see Toby.
"Your still here?" I ask startling him.
"Oh good your awake. Um, yeah I haven't left I had to make sure your ok."
"Thanks Toby." I say looking at him. He gives me that cute smirk of his.
"Have you slept at all Toby?" I ask him looking at his red puffy eyes.
"No, not really, I had to make sure you were ok during the night, so I didn't sleep." I think about this. It was really nice if Toby to keep an eye on me. He really is a sweet guy.
"Toby, you know what will make me feel a whole lot better? If you get some rest, you have to take care of yourself too."
"Will you be ok?" He asks.
"I'll be just fine, I'm not going anywhere." I tell him.
"Ok." He says laying back in the chair. He falls asleep almost instantly. I watch him sleep for a while. He snores a little bit and it makes me laugh. After about 2 hours it's time for me to go back to the garage. I wake up Toby and ask him to help me out of bed. The doctor had bandaged up my stomach and told me that I also had a severe concussion. Since I've been in the hospital for four days my head didn't hurt as much but my stomach still hurt me when I moved. I got out of bed with Toby on my right side helping me down. They asked me if I needed I wheel chair and I said no even though it hurt to walk. Toby helped me working as a crutch. When we got in the car Toby drove and I sat in the passengers seat. When we got to the garage everybody was already up and working. They probably don't expect me to be home yet because I wasn't supposed to be released until tomorrow. When I walk (limp) in everybody stops and looks at me, I see a smile grow on each of their faces.
"Your back!" They say in unison.
"Yeah, they let me go early." I tell them. They all go to hug me. Paige hugs me first and I flinch when she does because of the bullet wound.
"Maybe we should wait on hugging." Walter says seeing my expression. Paige nods and walks back standing next to Walt. Toby helps me over to my working station.
"Thanks Toby, I got it from here." I tell him sitting down slowly. I get in my seat and get out some medal from under my desk.
"Hey Toby can I tell you something?" I ask him.
"Sure what's up?" He asks.
"Well the doctor said that where I got shot will make me unable to have kids. I just wanted to tell somebody." I tell him looking down at my shoes.
"Happy, if you are able to have kids or not it does not mean you can not adopt." He says looking me in the eyes.
"Thanks Doc." I tell him I can't stop staring at him. At that moment moment Meghan walks in with Ralph. They must of been playing outside.
"Ready for school bud?" Walter asks. Ralph nods.
"Good because it's time to go." Paige says taking Ralph hand and walking away.
"I'll be right back guys." She says without stopping. Meghan pulls over a chair and sits next to me.
"I'm glad you back." She tells me.
"I'm glad I'm back too, I missed you guys." I say messing up her hair.
"Hey speaking of school, why aren't you in it?" I ask her.
"Well um... I couldn't afford to go to school, I've never been." She tells me playing with her bracelet.
"Well I'll pay for you to go to school." Cabe says interruption our conversation.
"What?" Meghan asks surprised.
"Well you deserve to go to school and your a genius, so I'll pay for you to go to school." He says.
"Really? Thank you so much!" She says a smile growing on her face.
"Paige can take you tomorrow with Ralph. His school goes up to 10th grade." Walter says looking down at his project.
"Oh my god I'm finally going to school." She say quietly. I can tell she's scared but also excited. After a day at the garage Toby takes me back to his place because he doesn't want me to be alone on my first day home.
"Want to watch a movie?" Toby asks turning in the TV.
"Sure, let's watch something stupid." I say just for fun. He turns on the TV and puts on a stupid movie from the 90's with really bad acting. I smile and rest my head on his shoulder. He leans close and kisses me and we don't stop there.
