Chapter 78: Save her

TOBYS POV
"What the hell?" Meghan manages to murmur out. While Walter continues to stare blankly at the screen. We see a familiar figure walk on camera:
Drew.
"Hello friends, good to see you again." Drew states, smirking.
"Oh my god." Walter whispers, only loud enough so I could hear.
"As you can see I have your good friend Paige with me, and I figure you want her back." He continues. "But you see I can't do that, at least not until you give me what I want. I want full custody over my son." He states, his voice serious.
"We can't do that." Walter says in response, his voice filling with fear.
"You won't have my son." Paige says from behind him, squirming in the seat.
"Our son, sweetheart."
"My son." She snaps, getting increasingly more angry.
"Bring Paige back and nobody's going to get hurt." Cabe demands, his voice is serious.
"You bring my son and nobody's gets hurt, if you don't, I won't be the one getting hurt. Bye now." We hear a faint scream, Than the screen goes black and we all turn to look at each other.
"We need to find her." Walter exclaims, sitting down at the computer and typing furiously.
"That scream didn't sound like Paige." Meghan says, her voice just above a whisper.
"What?" I question, wondering what she is thinking.
"Her voice isn't that deep, that wasn't her. It was her in the chair but she wasn't the one who screamed. Walter find out where she is, I have a funny feeling about this." She responds, furrowing her eyebrows. Walter nods and continues typing. Only about 7 minutes later Walter jumps up.
"Okay I found her, I tracked down where the video came from, since Drew isn't intelligent enough to put a block on it I was able to find where she is. She is three blocks down from China town in the old abandoned shoe factory." He shouts, in a hurry.
"How does he find these places?" I ask.
"Everybody in the van now!" Cabe shouts, we all run and jump into the van, not even taking time to get seated or buckled. Happy sits in the drivers seat and speeds off towards the factory and I can basically feel my head spin. Not very long later we make is to the factory. There is a large gate around the vicinity of the building.
"Okay, how are we going to do this?" I ask. "Considering the fence is probably electric and even if it's not we are going to have trouble getting in without being seen." I add, looking at Walter specifically.
"Okay, what we are going to do is Happy is going to go and find the electricity panel and turn off the electric fence. As soon as that is done, Meghan, Toby and I are going to go in together. Meghan is going to go first, make sure the cost is clear and than call us. If there are any guards we are going to have Meghan and Toby analyze them, than tell us how to tackle that scenario. Once we get that under control we can go and try to find Paige and we will take it from there. Sylvester and Cabe are going to stay in the car, Sylvester you are going to try and hack into the security cameras and tell us which room she is in, Cabe sit in the front seat and make sure nobody comes." Walter instructs, we all nod without any questions asked and get out slowly. Happy gets out first and runs to the left to find the electricity panel. Not too long later she informs is of the situation.
"Okay, I found it, it's locked up tight but of i can just...." We here a loud bang and than Happy returns. "Yeah there we go. Just need to turn it off- okay, it's off but be careful guys." She says, genuinely worried about our safety, although I am still not entirely used to this side of Happy. We run to the gate, Meghan going first. Once she gets to the gate there is a small lock on it but nothing she can't get through with just a bobby pin, which she pulls out of her hair and does within seconds. Once we are through we run to the door and run into the building. The building is rather dark with a haunted house kind of vibe. I think Meghan notices as well because she shutters. We turn the corner slowly, expecting somebody to be sitting there, but there is only a chairs and nobody in sight.
"I'm into the cameras, but they are very old and pixilated. I see you guys, and what looks like a chair, is that a chair?" Sylvester says through the earpiece, startling us.
"Yeah but there is nobody nearby and this place is giving me the creeps." Meghan responds, we continued walking. We turn another corner but nobody is there. We turn another corner and sure enough there is somebody there. But it's not who we are expecting. Drew is unconscious on the ground and his head is bleeding uncontrollably.
"What the actual fuck?" Meghan exclaims, I quickly put my hand over her mouth incase anybody is listening.
"What is it what do you guys see?" Cabe asks, concern in his voice.
"We see Drew most likely dead on the floor." I respond, my voice at a whisper.
"Be careful guys." Happy says, demandingly. Meghan nods, moving my hand from over her mouth, even though she knows Happy can't see her. She walks forward past Drew and around the corner, and first we see Paige tied up tightly to a chair and of course we see now who (possibly) killed Drew.
"Hello friends."
"Collins, I swear to god." Meghan says before Mark can finish.
"I thought you were dead?" I question, unbelievably confused.
"Well yeah of course that's what the police are going to tell you, that's what they are going to tell everybody to make them feel better and safer. But you see that's not how the world works people don't just die, people don't just get murdered." He responds, with his psychotic tone.
"Why did you kill Andrew?" Walter asks, his voice steady, but his quivering hands not.
"Well he did what I needed, he got her here, he made you believe that it was him and now I don't need him anymore." He replies, his grin not fading.
"Now that I have Paige I can get what I want from you." He adds.
"What do you want from us?" Meghan asks, although I'm sure she knows the answer.
"The same thing I've wanted since you've joined the team two years ago, my place back on the team. Again it's really not that much to ask."
"You're insane Collins." I say in reply.
"No shit, Curtis." Paige fidgets in her seat trying to get free, or at least trying to talk.
"Oh you want to talk? Okay but only for a moment." Collins say, letting down Paige's gag.
"Don't do it, don't give him anything." She exclaims, her voice fragile and weak.
"We are going to get you out of there even if it means sacrificing the team." Walter responds his voice still steady but starting to break at the end.
"Oh, does that mean we have an agreement?" Collins smirks, furrowing his eye brows.
"Or do I have to do some convincing?" Collins picks up an electrical cord and holds it towards Paige's hand, she cringes and closes her eyes.
"No! No. We have a deal." Walter intervenes, at that moment Collins sets down the wires and reaches out his hand to shake with Walter, a cocky grin on his face.
"Give me your phone." Meghan whispers to me, just barely loud enough so I can hear. I was going ask why but at this point I don't even care as long as she gets Paige free. I hand it to her behind my back and she slowly and quietly takes it. She also pulls off her bracelet and puts it into her hand.

Once she is ready it has been about thirty seconds. Collins and Walter are shaking hands.
"Okay Toby throw this at Collins I will take it from there." She whispers. I nod and take the bracelet.
"Hey Collins, catch." I throw the bracelet and he reaches out to get it, a common human reflex. With his attention fully on the bracelet Meghan jumps and tackles him to the ground beating him with the corner of my cell phone directly in the temples, gallons of blood are pouring out of his head at this point but Meghan continues to beat him. Walter runs over to Paige and unties her and I run over to help. Once Paige is free, Walter carries her not wanting her to walk. Soon enough Cabe and Happy are there and have to pry Meghan away from Collins, who is now completely dead, with no chance of recovery. The police come and confiscate the body and an ambulance comes to take care of Drew, who we now know will make a full recovery in a few months. Before we know it we are driving home, back to the garage. Once we are settled Walter immediately kisses Paige passionately while continuously telling her how much he loves her and how he did not want to lose her. I go over and kiss Happy as well, while holding Jesse. Meghan holds Maxwell tightly in her arms, while rocking back and fourth. Ralph comes in a few moments later, followed by Shawn and we all watch the news together.

Shawn pulls Meghan aside and I watch silently trying not to draw attention.
"Okay so you know how we're like married now?" Shawn starts, making Meghan smile.
"Yes, Shawn I know that we are married." Meghan responds, smiling.
"I want to know, if you will move in with me? I bought a small apartment, and it's quite small but I want to live together like a family."
"Shawn, that would be amazing, I'd love that." She smiles and they hug, Meghan goes on her toes and kisses him. They sit down together on the couch and we continue to watch the news.
