Chapter 29: Training

MEGHANS POV
I walk into the garage the next day and see that everybody is already there. I drove around most of last night and around 1:32 I pulled over and slept in my car.
"Where were you? We waited for you but you never came back." Walter says looking at me.
"I slept in my car last night." I tell them.
"Well next time you need to tell us and you can't just leave like that." Walter says looking me in the eye.
"Your not my dad." I tell him.
"Well it's not like you would listen to him anyway." Walter replies angrily. I feel tears well up in my eyes. I run up stairs and slam my door.
"You shouldn't have said that Walter." I hear Happy say. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. The door opens and I see its Paige.
"Meghan can I talk to you?" She asks.
"I'm not in the mood to be talking to anybody right now." I tell her.
"Actually that wasn't a question." She says sitting next to me.
"I'm sorry about what happened down there. Walter just wants to make sure your safe he doesn't want anything to happen to you. Even though he may not have used the best words." I nod.
"It's not your fault. It's not Walters either I'm just still pissed at my dad." I tell her. All of a sudden Cabe walks in. Paige and I run down stairs to see what he has to say.
"I'm sorry Meghan." Walter apologizes.
"I'm sorry too." I respond.
"Today is training day, has you guys all know. There's one problem. The training is in New Jersey today. There is a special army training facility there." Cabe tells us.
"So we're taking a plane there?" I ask.
"We will be taking a jet over." He Informs us. I look down at my camouflage rubber bracelet.
"We are leaving in five minutes so everybody grab your electronics and things you need for the mission. This is not an over night trip so you won't need any clothes." He tells us. I get my computer and notebook and put them in my olive green and light brown leather back pack. I'm wearing dark blue shorts and a blue tee. I decide to run upstairs and change into jeans because it isn't has hot in New Jersey. I come back down stairs everybody is at the door, I run downstairs and we get in the van. Happy drives us to the place were the jet is.
"Hey so let's talk about this whole Happy being pregnant thing." Cabe says looking at Happy.
"What do you want to know?" Happy asks.
"When did you know... this happen?" Paige asks.
"Well it happened the day Happy got back from the hospital, Happy was sleeping over my house so I could keep an eye on her and well stuff happened." Toby says looking at Happy who doesn't say a word or take her eyes off the road, but presses on the gas pedal.
"And what is this going to do to the team?" Cabe asks slightly mad now.
"The teams going to be fine Cabe." Happy's says from the drivers seat.
"And you think that having a baby with someone who isn't even your boyfriend but is also on the team, isn't going to effect Scorpion?" Cabe asks getting angry.
"Shut up Cabe it wasn't her choice." Toby says defending Happy.
"Well you shouldn't be talking your the one who got her pregnant." Cabe snaps back.
"Happy pull over." Paige says sitting next to me. Happy pulls over.
"Cabe, Toby out, now." She says. Cabe and Toby get out of the car and Paige follows them. I here yelling from outside of the car, I assume it's Paige. I look over at Happy her face is red with embarrassment. After about 10 minutes they all get back into the car. Cabe and Toby are dead silent and Paige's face is angry. The rest of the ride there is quiet. When we get to the jet we all pile in.
"Wow I've never been in a jet before." I say looking around.
"You've never been in a jet before? That's a shock. I thought everyone has been in a jet." Toby says sarcastically.
"Have you ever been in a plane?" Happy asks.
"I've been in a plane once." I tell them.
"Hey your not wearing your converse." Happy points out.
"Yeah I decided to give that up. I found these in the back of my closet." I say looking at my tan combat boots.
"Give what up?" Paige asks.
"Well my dad gave me those converse for my 10 birthday because that's all I've ever wanted and so when he left I vowed to always wear those converse. Now I'm done with that." I say playing with my bracelet.
"I just want to make it clear that when we took you to see your dad it was not so you two could bond and forgive each other but so you could get the answers you deserve, and I think it work. No exactly as we hoped but you got the answers." Walter says on his computer.
"I forgot to say thanks to you guys, this means a lot to me. I finally got the answers I needed, So thank you." I respond. Paige leans in to give me a hug but I step back.
"No physical contact please." I say sitting down in the chair next to Walter. Paige puts her arms down. After a while in the plane Cabe says
"We're here."
"Oh thank god." Happy says stepping out of the jet. When we walk out of the jet we are standing in front of a tall building.
"This is where they will give us a rental car and then we will drive down to the training facility." Cabe says. He hands us each a bag of clothes we have to change into. We all get changed.
"Can I get a bigger shirt?" Happy asks her shirt tight around her stomach. Cabe hands her a size larger. She walks out of the changing area her shirt is big on her and makes her look like she's not even pregnant. We get in the car and drive to the facility.
