Chapter 43: I missed you

(The next day)
PAIGE POV
I walk into the garage, everybody except Meghan is already there. I just dropped off Ralph at school and now I'm at the garage. I sit down and work on some paper work from our last case.
"Where's Meghan?" I ask Walter who walks by me to get a water from the fridge.
"I think she's upstairs." He responds.
"Morning sickness." Sylvester says joining the conversation. Meghan is now a month and 1/2 pregnant but is not showing at all. Happy just had her baby girl, Jesse. At that moment Happy and Toby walk in, Toby holding Happy's baby bag. Jesse is still at the hospital. Toby helps Happy over to her engine and kisses her on the head. Then Toby grabs a Phycology book and sits on the couch. We hear a knock at the door, I open it to see a young boy about Meghan's age standing there.
"I'm Shawn can I come in?" The boy asks.
"Uh, sure." I respond letting him in.
"So who are you and why are you here?" Walter asks the boy.
"I'm Shawn, one of Meghan's old friends." He responds.
"Stay here." I say running upstairs. I walk into Meghan's room. Meghan is in the bathroom, I knock on the door.
"Meghan come out." She comes out, she does not look good.
"What do you want?" She says sitting on the bed. She's wearing black sweat pants and a white camisole, her curly brown hair is in a high pony tail.
"There's a boy here for you." I tell her.
"Is it Jasper?" She asks.
"No but he's cute so change and meet me down stairs." I say walking out. She moans and gets up to get changed. I go down the stairs and wait for Meghan, Shawn is standing up by the counter. He's taller then Meghan, Meghan and him are complete opposites. Meghan has olive skin, with brown hair and brown eyes, she's also pretty short. Shawn is tall with blue eyes and blond hair and his skin is fair. Meghan comes walking down the stairs, she's wearing a black and white slightly cropped shirt {you could see only a bit of her stomach} , distressed white jeans, black sneakers and a black beanie (Picture in media).
"Does this meet your approval?" She asks me walking down the stairs smiling but her eyes still look sick.
"Still wearing that same black and white shirt, I see." Shawn says. Meghan directs her attention to the boy, her eyes get big and a huge smile grows on her face.
"SHAWN!" She shouts running down the stairs and giving him a hug almost knocking him over.
"I thought you didn't like physical contact?" He asks smirking.
"I don't, but I missed you so freakin much!" She says letting go of him.
"How do you two know each other?" Happy asks.
"Well we were best friends and neighbors." Meghan responds still smiling.
"Then when her dad left she kinda blocked me out and we stopped talking." Shawn says. Meghan's smile starts to disappear.
"So why are you back." Meghan asks.
"After your dad left you told me to go away and and try again in 5 years. I'm here." This makes Meghan beam with happiness and tears well in her eyes.
"You remembered." She says quietly.
"You look sick, are you sick?" Shawn asks looking at Meghan's eyes.
"Morning sickness." She responds.
"Huh?" Shawn asks confused.
"Oh yeah I didn't tell you yet.. I'm pregnant." She says looking down at her shoes.
"Congratulations Meg! Where's the lucky guy?" He asks smiling at her.
"Wish I knew... he left." Meghan says laughing a bit.
"Oh I'm sorry Meghan."
"No it's fine." Meghan responds looking up at him.
"So... What's his name?"
"Jasper, wait your not going to kill him right."
"Damn right I am." Shawn says walking towards the door.
"Shawn don't, I'm fine, I don't need him. I have these guys." She says grabbing his arm then gesturing to the team.
"Oh I don't think I've introduced you to everybody." Meghan tells Shawn.
"This is Walter the hacker and leader of team scorpion, this is Sylvester the human calculator, Happy mechanical prodigy, Toby behaviorist, Cabe homeland security and our government handler, and lastly this is Paige our emotional translator." Meghan says gesturing to each of us.
"I'm Shawn, the friend." Shawn says smiling.
"Are you a genius too?" I ask him.
"No I'm not." He responds still smiling.
"Yet he always seemed to get me. We could talk to each other about anything, it was pretty damn cool." Meghan responds looking at Shawn who is looking us.
"It was, want to get some coffee?" He asks Meghan.
"Sure." She responds walking out. When they are gone I turn to the team.
"God they're cute together." I say.
"Are you really match making?" Toby asks.
"Yes because they are adorable together." I respond smiling. They come back two hours later smiling and laughing. I watch as they sit down next to each other.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Shawn asks Meghan.
"You know I'm not really a movie person." She says still smiling.
"You can deal." He says putting on a movie this makes Meghan laugh. The movie is long and they pretty much talk the whole time. I sit at the counter pretending to do paper work even though I am really watching them, I know the rest of the team is too. When it's time for Shawn to leave Meghan waves and says bye. She then picks up the pop corn and puts it on the counter and heads for her work station.
"Didn't get much done today, should get to work." She says sitting down and taking out a pen and piece of paper. I walk over and sit next to her.
"So this Shawn kid, you guys ever have a thing going." I say smiling.
"What? No we're just friends, we've always been just friends, best friends." She responds not looking up from what she is doing.
"Come on you guys are adorable together!" I say grabbing her arm.
"Paige really, we're just friends." She says walking into the kitchen.
"That was denial. She obviously likes him." Toby says, this makes me smile. Maybe they will end up together.
