Chapter 77: A fresh start

WALTERS POV
I walk into the garage the next week, excited to be back and to see all the new married and engaged couples, but most of all I am excited to see Paige. Not only is she my fiancée, but she is my 2 month pregnant fiancée. I walk in and see Happy, Toby, Sylvester, Meghan, Cabe and Shawn. Toby is hanging out with Happy, his new Fiancée, Sylvester is talking to Megan on the phone while she is in PT, Meghan is working on something at her desk and Shawn is over her shoulder, telling her some stupid joke, making her laugh. I walk up behind Paige at the counter and hug her from behind, at first she jumps but when she realizes it's me she smiles, kissing me.
"How are my two favorite people?" I ask her, getting down on my knees so I could be eye level with her stomach. She's still very thin and you can only see the slightest bump if you look close enough.
"We are good, not feeling great but we are both healthy and happy." She responds smiling.
"But, I kinda have a problem... I didn't tell Ralph yet, I wanted us to tell him together, but now I'm kinda nervous." She continues.
"Don't worry, we can tell him together." I reply, standing up and kissing her forehead. At that moment we hear a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Happy shouts, making Toby smile. I see Drew walk in with Ralph and I immediately look at Paige, she gives me a look of reassurance and Ralph comes running over to us, giving Paige a hug.
"Hi Walter! Guess what? I won the science fair! Two years in a row." He smiles, holding up his certificate.
"That's my boy!" I say, giving him a high five.
"Congratulations sweetheart!" Paige says, happily.
"Nice job champ!" Happy congratulates him.
"Well, sweetheart, we have some news of our own."
"I should probably get going." Drew interrupts.
"It's fine Drew you can stay, we don't mind." Paige says, with a hint of frustration in her voice.
"What do you have to tell me mom?" Ralph asks, a bit excited.
"Well we have two things to tell you. Walter is going to be your step father." Paige starts.
"And we are having a baby." I finish and she smiles at me. At first it takes a second for Ralph to take all this information in, but once he does he can't stop smiling.
"Really?" He asks, excitedly.
"Really, Ralphie, and I can't wait to be your Step father." I respond, and Ralph gives me a hug. Paige smiles with tears in her eyes, she knows Ralph isn't one for physical contact, well that and the hormones. I look at Drew and he has an emotionless look on his face.
"Well I'm going to get going, congratulations guys." He eventually speaks up.
"Thank you, Andrew, that was very mature, I'll see you next weekend." Paige says, waving as he walks out the door.
"Are you excited honey?" Paige asks Ralph.
"Yes mom!" He responds, happily.
"Hey Happy, would you mind, dropping Ralph of at my house, the baby sitter is there she just texted me." Paige asks Happy, who was talking to Toby.
"Sure. Toby do you want to join me?" Happy asks him, he smiles and nods.
"Of course I do." He responds, adjusting his hat.
"Meghan, can you watch Jess?" Happy asks.
"No problem, Happy." They leave with Ralph and then it is just, Cabe, Meghan, Shawn, Cabe, Sylvester, Paige and I. Suddenly Jesse starts crying loudly, she's almost a year old but she's still quite small.
"I got it." Meghan says, getting up and walking over to Jesse, Shawn takes her seat when she stands up. Meghan takes Jesse out of her crib and rocks her back and fourth, she goes to sit down but Shawn is in her seat.
"Shawn." She groans, even though I can see smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
"Just sit on top of me, I'm too tired to move." He states, putting out his arms. Meghan just glares at him.
"Okay, okay, I'm moving." He says, getting up. Meghan sits down and Shawn stands behind her.
"They're cute." Paige whispers to me, smiling. Her face is a bit pale.
"How are you doing?" I ask, sitting down next to her.
"Eh, I'm okay, but I'm going to go get some air." She responds, letting go of my hand that I didn't even notice she took.
"Okay I'll make you some coffee."
"Decaf please." She responds, getting up and going into the cold crisp air.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER
Happy and Toby walk back in together, laughing. They sit down and get right to work, and just now I notice they moved their desk closer to each other.
"Walt, where's Paige?" Toby asks, noticing she wasn't here.
"She wasn't outside?" I ask, them.
"I didn't see her." Happy replies.
"Are you sure?" I question, walking towards the door. Just as I'm about to leave my computer beeps. Meghan gets to the computer first. On the screen it says 'video message.' Meghan opens up the tab and the video plays. There is somebody in a chair on the screen, and once the person comes into focus my mouth drops open and I manage to murmur out two simple words.
"That's Paige."

I wasn't planning on updating this fic again, but here is a Christmas/holiday present for you!! I'm going to maybe do three/four more chapters, just because you all have liked this fic sooo much and it makes me so happy to see all of you happy so, surprise!!
