Chapter 41: The discussion

HAPPYS POV
I walk into the garage slightly late because I couldn't find anything to wear that fit. I see that everybody is already there.
"Is that my old shirt?" Paige asks looking at my grey maternity shirt.
"Yeah it is, thanks again." I tell her.
"I'm glad your getting use out of them." She responds. I walk over to Meghan.
"How ya doin'?" I ask her.
"I'm ok, thanks." She responds smiling because of something Toby said.
"Good." I respond.
"We have a case." Cabe says walking into the room. There's a long silence.
"This is usually the part of the story where Walter asks what the case is about." Toby says making me laugh.
"Where is Walter anyway?" Paige asks.
"Walter will meet us there, I'll also explain the case there." Cabe responds. We all pile into the van. Meghan drives, I sit in the passengers seat, Paige sits in the middle with Cabe, and Toby and Sylvester sat in the back. It doesn't take us long to get there because Meghan is driving and she drives like hell. When we get there we see we are at somebody's house.
"Who's house are we at and why are we here?" I ask Cabe.
"A young boy named Joseph who is ten years old, is in the house he was trapped because of an earth quake and he needs our help to get out." We all nod.
"Ok step back." A tall police officers says.
"We're not stepping back were staying where we are, there is a ten year old boy who needs our help not yours." I say turning to the police officer.
"Why are you even here? We are the ones who can save that boy not you." Meghan says joining in.
"What's with the attitude girls?" Cabe asks.
"Hormones." Toby responds. I roll my eyes.
"Do you know what this badge means?" The police man says pointing to his badge.
"That you got D's in high school?" I respond.
"Possibly a C or two?" Meghan responds.
"That's it you two are coming with me." The police officer says taking out two hand cuffs and puts one on me and one on Meghan. We both move around, trying to get away but it doesn't work.
"Well that could have went better." Paige says.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Toby asks her.
"Why didn't you?" Paige says. That's the last thing I hear before the police officer puts Meghan and I in the police car.
"Not good." I say looking at Meghan.
"Not good indeed." She responds. After about ten minutes Toby gets thrown into the police car too, I don't know What he did.
"Join the club." Meghan says looking at Toby who is now sitting next to me.
"What did you do?" I ask him.
"Long story." He responds looking at me. Our faces are so close, I just want to kiss him, but I don't. After about five minutes I see Walter walk up to Cabe who passes by the police car and sees us.
"What the hell did I miss?" He asks Cabe.
"We had a little run in with the police." Cabe says. He pulls out his badge and shows it to the police man. The police officer let's us go and we get back to work.
"Why didn't you do that fifteen minutes ago?" Meghan asks Cabe.
"I forgot I could do that." He says.
"Why were you guys in there anyway?" Walter asks Meghan.
"Because we suck at handling shit?" She responds.
We walk back towards the house. We go in the house and see the boy, tears streaming down his face.
"Don't worry bud we're going to get you out of there." Walter tells the boy. He is stuck under a book shelf that seems to be under a pile of ceiling that fell, causing his legs to be trapped under the book shelf.
"Paige talk to him he's scared." Toby tells Paige.
"Hi Joseph, I'm Paige I'm with team scorpion and we're going to get you out of there. until then you can talk to me, do you have any siblings?" She asks softly.
"I have an older sister." He responds.
"What's her name?" Paige asks. They continue talking like this.
"So how are we going to get him out?" I ask.
"We need to move the ceiling without shifting the book shelf." Walter responds.
"And how are we going to do that?" Toby asks.
"We need a crane of some sort." Walter responds.
"On it!" Meghan says running off.
"How long will it take?" Toby shouts.
"3.5" She shouts back, Sylvester starts counting. As we wait for her we watch Paige calm down Joseph. She's doing a good job. After about 3.4 minutes Meghan is back with a crane.
"MEGHAN MARIA HOW THE HELL DID GET THAT?" Cabe asks.
"Woah, you don't need to use middle names." Meghan responds.
"How did you get this!?" Toby asks.
"I have my ways and how the hell do you know my middle name?" Meghan asks Cabe.
"I have my ways." He responds. I climb into the crane and put it through the whole in the ceiling, it just barely fits. I gently move the crane to where the ceiling pieces are and move the crane down slowly.
"Careful!" Toby shouts.
"Don't distract me." I respond the ceiling shifts the book shelf making it fall on Joseph.
"Holy crap." Meghan says.
"Oh my god." Paige says her voice terrified.
"You distracted me you dumb ass!" I shout to Toby.
"Don't worry it looks like there is a hole in the ground, looks like he fell through and didn't get hit by the book shelf." I tell them, I hear a sigh of relief. I take the crane and pick up the ceiling and book shelf revealing a hole in the ground. Paige talks to Joseph the whole time. We get somebody to hang down from a rope connected to the crane. Meghan is smallest and lightest so she has to be the one to go in. We hook her up to the crane and send her in. She gets Jo and tugs on the rope, I pull her up. She's holding Joseph in her arms. I lower them both gently to the ground.
"Wow your strong." I tell her, she shrugs. We are able to get Joseph back to his family. We all smile as we ewatch his family hug him. He gets taken to the hospital for treatment, he should be fine. We all go back to the garage and Toby takes me to the side.
"Yes sir?" I say smiling.
"I want you to move in with me." He says looking me in the eyes.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Your 4 and 1/2 month pregnant now and this baby will be due soon. I want you to move in with me." His dedication makes me smile.
"Ok." I say quietly nodding.
"Ok." He responds and takes my face in his hands, we kiss and its amazing. I can't wait to be parents with him.
