Chapter 42: He's back

(1 1/2 months later)
HAPPYS POV
I walk into the garage with Toby by my side, we shouldn't have a case today because it's Saturday, but ya never know. I sit down at my station and Toby sits down at his. I feel fat as hell, I'm about six months pregnant at this point. Everybody is already at their spots except for Paige who should be here in a few. Cabe walks in and with Paige behind him.
"We have a case." He says walking in.
"What is it?" Walter asks.
"Right on cue." Toby says smiling.
"It's nothing big, there is a girl missing and we have to find her, shouldn't be hard." Cabe replies. We all get into the van. Meghan drives, I sit in the passengers seat, Cabe and Toby sit in the middle and Walter, Sylvester and Paige sit in he back. Meghan is a month pregnant now but she hasn't gotten big yet. We drive down to the location which seems to be an abandoned warehouse. We walk in and I'm last. All of a sudden I feel somebody put there hand around my mouth and pull me back. I turn around and see that it's Collins.
"How the hell did you get out?" I ask him but it gets muffled from his hand over my mouth. He pushes me down and ties me to a chair. Then he gets everybody's attention.
"That wasn't very hard, you should work on that." He says while I move around in my seat.
"How the hell did you get out?" Toby asks.
"I have my ways. So I heard this one here is pregnant, figured I could kill two birds with one stone." He takes out what looks like a lighter. Then I feel a hot burning sensation along my arms and look to see that he is running the lighter along my arms. I feel so much pain but I try not to let it show. I watch as Toby's eyes get wide.
"What do you want?" Walter asks.
"My spot back in the team, I thought we went over this?" He responds.
"We can give you your spot back on the team and anything else you want, just let her go." Toby says joining the conversation.
"Oh your not going to trick me that easily." He responds smiling. I feel the burning sensation again. I moan through gritted teeth.
"So what do you want us to do?" Toby asks. I feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach and wince. I think Toby sees this because he asks
"Are you ok?" I nod.
"I'm fine." I respond.
"You have to kick somebody else off the team." He responds. I watch as Meghan steps forward.
"I'll go, I was never a real part of this team any way, you already have a behaviorist." She says walking over to Collins with out looking back. I feel my mouth drop open and so do the rest of the team. I feel the sharp pain again but don't show it but I still think Toby sees it.
"Are you sure your ok?" He asks again.
"I'm fine Toby." You could hear the anger in my voice. Collins takes Meghan and pushes her against the wall and holds a gun to her head. She holds her breath. I feel the pain again I think about what it could be and realize it's contractions, I try not to show it but I let out a moan. Everybody directs their attention to me.
"What's happening over there?" Toby asks.
"contractions." I say wincing.
"Shit." I hear Toby say under his breath.
"Just breathe." He tells me.
"Yeah I'm trying." I say wincing again. Collins smiles and puts the gun to Meghan's head again. We hear a click and then Meghan ducks down, the bullet flies right above her head. She's able to get to the ground and sweep under Collins making him fall to the ground. Toby runs over grabs the gun and shots it without hesitation. He hits Collins in the center of is stomach which can be a kill shot. Cabe runs over to Collins and hand cuffs him and he informs us that he will be put away somewhere impossible to get out of or worse {death}.
"That's what you get for messing with us." Toby says. I feel a contraction again and let out a quiet moan. Toby's eyes get big and he rushes over to me.
"How are you doing?" He asks me, you could hear the fright in his voice. I just nod wincing. He carries me to the van and lays me down in the back seat with him, he takes my hand. Meghan drives to the hospital because she could get us there the fastest.
"Breath we will be at the hospital soon." Toby says. I nod breathing heavily.
"Your 12 weeks early." Sylvester says from the seat in front of us.
"Yep." I say accidentally shouting. I feel another contraction and moan loudly. while squeezing Toby's hand. Tears sting my eyes and threaten to fall.
"How far apart are they?" Toby asks me.
"About 2 minutes or less." I inform him. He bites his lip. After about 5 minutes I have had two contractions, but we're at the hospital now. A doctor comes out and wheels me into a room, she runs to get a doctor. They make everybody except Toby leave the room. I feel a really strong contraction and moan loudly. The doctor comes in and makes me change into a night gown.
"On three we push." The doctor says. Toby turns to me and nods, I nod back.
"1...2..." And I start pushing I feel sweat drop down my face. I'm squeezing Toby's hand tightly.
"1...2..." The doctor repeats and I push again and then I hear a baby crying. I can feel tears down my face.
"Say hello to you new baby girl." The doctor says handing her to me. She's premature, so she's very small. I look at the baby girl in my arms. I smile at her big brown eyes and bubbly face.
"Jesse." I says quietly to Toby.
"Jesse." Toby agrees.
"She's beautiful." I tell Toby. I hand her gently to Toby. He smiles and a tear rolls down his cheek. Seeing them together makes me smile, the two people I love most in this world. Toby gently hands her back to me and leaves the room to call the team in. They walk in quietly and look at me sitting with the baby in my arms.
"Say hi to Jesse our new baby girl." I say quietly.
"Can I hold her?" Paige says softly.
"Of course." I say handing her to Paige.
"She looks just like you." Paige says looking at Jesse then at me. She then passes her to Walter. After a few minutes he passes her to Sylvester who immediately passed her to Meghan because he's afraid he's going to drop her.
"Sylvester hold her, your not going to drop her I promise." I says looking at Sylvester, Meghan hands her gently to Sly. He holds her softly for about a minute then hands her back to Meghan. Meghan smiles at Jesse. After a while she hands her back to Toby.
"Ok time to go, the new mommy needs her rest." The nurse says walking in. Everybody except Toby leaves. The nurse takes Jesse and puts her in a special incubator. The doctor says I could leave tomorrow evening but Jesse can't leave for a week because she is 12 weeks early and premature. Toby stays the night with me. I smile at him before I fall asleep, I close my eyes and fall asleep almost instantly.
