Chapter 59: Amnesia

(The next day)
MEGHANS POV
All of a sudden I wake up, I wake up from what feels like a horrible dream. I press the button that calls the nurse, the nurse comes in almost immediately.
"Your awake!" She says excitedly.
"Yes I believe so." I respond.
"We have some people here who would like to see you." The nurse says. A man with curly brown hair, a women with shoulder length brown hair, a women with jet black hair, a man with a fedora, a bigger man and an older man all walk in.
"Hi Meghan, it's so great to see you." The man with the fedora says touching my hand. I pull my hand away quickly.
"Who are you?" I ask slightly nervous.
"It's Toby, don't you remember?" I shake my head weakly.
"Do you remember me, Walter, you live in the garage with me." The man with the curly brown hair says.
"As in Walter O'Brien?" I ask curiously.
"You remember me?" He ask giving me a slight smile. I shake my head.
"No, but I have heard of you, the fourth smartest person ever recorded." I respond.
"Excuse me, nurse may I talk to you privately?" I ask her, she nods and sends the people out of the room, closing the door behind them.
"Who are these people?" I ask her.
"This are your family, you have to remember." She says in almost a sad tone. I remember a lot, I remember that I am a genius with a 196 IQ, I'm 16 years old, my brother died two years before I was born at the age of thirteen, my mother died during labor, my father left when I was 11 years old, everything, just not these people.
"I have no idea who these people are and I am not leaving with somebody who I do not know." I respond with a hint of bitterness in my voice.
"I'm going to invite them back in here and maybe you will remember." She replies walking out of the room.
"Don't bother." I weakly shout to her but of course she sends them in anyway.
"Are you sure you don't remember any of us?" The bigger man with thin framed glasses asks.
"I am not an idiot."
"Exactly your not an idiot your a genius apart of team Scorpion." The man with the fedora says.
"I know I am a genius, a behaviorist in fact, but I don't remember you or being apart of 'Team Scorpion'." I say gaining more bitterness to my voice.
"Let's start slow, what is each of our prodigys?" The women with the jet black hair asks.
"Let's see, You have something with machines, you are behavioral like me, you... maybe... mathematical prodigy, um hacker, and neither of you are geniuses but you are a... what? emotional translator? and you are a government handler of some sort." I respond pointing to each person as I say their prodigy, I don't realize how weak my voice is until now.
"So your brain can process all of that, but you can't remember who any of us are?" The man with the curly hair or Walter says getting frustrated and running his fingers through his hair. I watch as they all try to figure out what is happening, I wish I could help but I just don't remember.
"Do you remember me?" A boy about my age asks walking into the room.
"It looks like you had a close connection with me at one point but I can't remember a specific name or memory." I say biting my lip, I can feel my voice getting weaker.
"Your pregnant with my child." He says quietly. I feel my eyes get wide.
"I'm pregnant?!" I asks shouting as much as I can with my groggy voice.
"Yes it looks like you still are." The nurse says walking in to the room holding an ultrasound in her hands.
"Oh my god. I'm pregnant with your child and I don't even remember you." I say biting my lip harder, I taste blood and realize I may have bitten it to hard.
"Your still pregnant? That's great news!" The man with a fedora says throwing his hands up in the air. The rest of the people agree, I slouch down a bit.
"So how long until she's out of the hospital?" The women with wavy shoulder length hair asks.
"Three days, at least." The nurse responds. I nod and the rest of the people sigh.
"How long was I in here?" I asks them.
"2 months." The man with the fedora says.
"Holy shit." I respond, I wasn't expecting that.
"So you seriously don't remember any of us?" The man with brown curly hair asks again. I shake my head.
"Seriously." I respond.
"Well then I guess we should introduce ourselves, I'm Happy, you got the prodigy right." The women with jet black hair says.
"Toby." The man with the fedora says.
"Walter, but you always called me Walt." The man with brown curly hair says.
"Sylvester call me Sly." The bigger man says.
"Paige." The women with wavy shoulder length hair says.
"Agent Cabe Gallo." The older man says.
"Shawn, I'm your boyfriend, and best friend." The boy about my age says quietly.
"I'm assuming you know who I am already." I respond. They all nod.
"So how much do you remember?" Walter asks.
"Nothing about you guys, just old past events." I reply.
"How far along am I?" I ask them, they all turn to Shawn.
"4 months." He says grimly.
"Shit." I say, not expecting that one either, this whole day was like a slap in the face. At that moment a different nurse walks in.
"Visiting hours are over, you can come back in 3-4 days to pick her up or visit tomorrow." She says in a odd tone with a look on her face that makes her look like she obviously hates her job. The team nods and heads out the door.
"Bye Meg." They all say in unison. I nod in response. What a day I think to myself as I close my tired eyes for a second. The nurse comes in and gives my my medicine through an IV. The medicine makes me tired and I fall asleep quickly but all I can dream about are these mysterious strangers.

I may or may not update on Wednesday because I have to finish four seven page (front and back) essays because I'm in a gifted and talented ELA class.
