Chapter 72: Finally home

HAPPYS POV
I watch as Stephan violently pushes Meghan forward towards us. She has a gash on her forehead and looks a bit shaken up.
"You ok?" I mouth to her, she nods. I wish I could help her, she looks so uncomfortable.
"Are you willing to trade?" Cabe asks, without hesitation.
"Oh of course I am, I'm not unreasonable, you know." Stephan responds, he has a thick Italian accent, which he didn't have before.
"You give me the files, and the girl doesn't die. I think that is a pretty good trade." He says holding a gun up to Meghan's head.
"Will you give us Meghan?" Cabe asks Stephan.
"I don't know, will you give me the files?" He replies, tightening the hand cuffs on Meghan's wrists, making them bleed. Cabe hesitates, but slowly hands over the files. Stephan grabs them out of his hands b
violently.
"Who am I kidding? You're going to die anyway. I'm surprised you didn't expect this." He says to Meghan laughing and pushing her into the ice cold water, hitting her chest on the ground when she falls in. I run over to Stephan and jump on his back, beating the crap out of him. Nobody does that to my friend and gets away with it. I keep punching him and don't stop, I don't even know if I'm even hitting him at some points. Walter runs over and grabs the files and chip out of his hands. I continue, punching him, not even realizing that he is unconscious. Toby runs over and pulls me off him. He wraps me up in a warm embrace, I rest my head on his chest.
"This is just one of the reasons I love you." He whispers in my ear. I smile and turn back around, towards the lake.
"Shit! Meghan's still in there!" I shout, so the whole team can hear.
"Should I jump in? I'm jumping in." I say running towards the water. Right before I jump in Meghan comes up to the surface.
"I'm fine, just get these fucking hand cuffs off me. " Meghan says coughing and struggling to stay above the water. She turns around, still in the water. I take out a wrench and smash the chain with the wrench, so the cuffs are still on her wrist but the chain is completely broken. She pulls herself out of the lake and lies down on the ground.
"Did you get the chip?" She asks, coughing and smiling.
"Yes we did." Walter replies, holding up the chip and the files.
"Thank god." Meghan says getting up off the ground. I give her my leather jacket, because she must be freezing from the water.
"Your chest is bleeding." Paige points out.
"It's fine, lets just go home." Meghan says, gesturing to the van. We get into the van and Walter says.
"You did well today."
"Thanks, Walt." Meghan responds, smiling. Eventually we make it back to the garage. Walt immediately goes over to is rocket, Sly goes over to the chalk board, Paige helps Meghan with the cuts on her chest and head, so I decide to go over to Toby. I find him at his work station packing up for the night. I walk over, grab his shirt and kiss him passionately.
"What was that for?" He asks me, smirking.
"Haven't done it in a while." I respond smiling, and kissing him again.
"Let's get home to our daughter." He says happily. I like the way that sounds our daughter. We walk towards the door together.
"Well today has been fun and all but I'm going back to bed, night everyone." Meghan says, standing up, just has Paige finishes patching up her cuts.
"Night." Toby and I say in unison. Toby puts his arm around me and we walk out together.
