Chapter 36: Questions.

PAIGES POV
"Hey Paige can I talk to you for a second?" Meghan asks me.
"Of course." I say walking over to her.
"What's up?"
"Well... I met this... guy and I think we might be going on a... date." She tells me. I can feel the smile grow on my face.
"Your going on a date? With who?" I ask her getting excited.
"Well remember when I fell in the hallway? Well it's the same guy from there, his name is Jasper and he asked me out at the batting cages." She informs me. I'm so excited for Meghan, she deserves to have a boyfriend.
"Well first we need to get you an outfit. In taking you to the mall." I tell her taking her arm.
"We're going to the mall!" I tell the team. They all mumble something that I can't seem to translate. After a while of driving we arrive at the mall.
"Let's go to express, they have good dresses there." I tell Meghan almost dragging her into the store.
"Dresses? I have to wear a dress?" She asks me.
"Well that's what you usually wear on a date, yes. You act like you've never been on a date before." I look at Meghan who looks at the ground.
"You've never been on a date before." I say my voice is flat. Meghan shakes her head.
"Well then we need to make this date extra special." I tell her. We walk over to the dress section. They are all very bright and neon. I move to the darker colors because I know Meghan wouldn't like the bright colors.
"Hey I kind of like this one." Meghan says picking out a black and white dress (Picture above).
"Let's go try it on." I tell her guiding her to the dressing room. She goes in and changes into the dress and then she walks out, she looks so beautiful.
"You look gorgeous." I tell her.
"I don't know, I don't like it."
"You don't like the dress?"
"I don't like dresses in general." She tells me and I smile.
"You look amazing." I tell her.
"Thank you." She responds.
"So your going to get that one?" I ask her.
"I guess so." She responds looking down at her dress.
"Time for shoes." I say after she gets changed. I take her to the shoe section.
"Which heel to you like?" I ask her.
"Oh no I have to wear heels too." She says looking at the selection.
"I like these ones." She says picking up some brown wedges with laces.
"I like those too." She try's them on and walks in them. She's actually really good at walking in heels.
"Perfect!" I tell her. We purchase the dress and shoes also a denim jacket so she doesn't get cold. I let her wear her black beanie because it really expresses her.
"Thank you Paige." She says on the way home. When we get back to the garage she goes back to working on her project, before she has to go.
"We have a celebrity in the building." Happy says walking in with an iPad.
"Oh stop it." Toby says smirking.
"Not you, Meghan." She responds rolling her eyes.
"What?" Meghan asks walking over to the IPad, I walk over too. Happy plays the video on the TV. It's Meghan singing at what looks like a coming home ceremony she looks about 10.
"OH MY GOD NO DO NOT PLAY IT." Meghan shouts. Of course Happy plays it anyway, Meghan try's to block the TV but can't and gives up.
"I HATE YOU HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND THIS?" Meghan asks Happy, pissed off.
"I have my ways." Happy responds smiling.
"When was this from?" I ask Meghan looking at he video.
"It was from when my dad came home from Iraq. They chose me to sing at his coming home ceremony." She responds her face is red with embarrassment. I watch as she sings Home by Phillip Phillips.
"Your really good." Walter says walking into the room.
"Yeah thanks. Now turn it off." Meghan tells Happy who continues playing the video. Meghan try's to take the iPad but Happy tosses the IPad to Toby.
"TURN IT OFF YOU JACK ASS." Meghan screams to Toby, this makes me laugh.
"No I don't think so." Toby says turning up the volume. Meghan runs over and jumps on Toby's back. She puts her arms around his neck and legs around his waist, she's trying to reach the IPad. All of a sudden we hear a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Cabe asks walking into the room.
"Jasper." The boy responds.
"Shit! He wasn't suppose to be here for another hour!" Meghan shouts jumping off of Toby and running upstairs. Toby turns off the video.
"Jasper? Who's Jasper?" Sylvester asks looking through the peep whole on the door.
"Meghan's date." I respond smiling.
"Date?!" The whole team asks in unison.
"Yep date. Let him in and entertain him, I'm going to go help Meghan get ready." I tell them running up the stairs. I go into Meghan's room, she has her dress and shoes on. I help her with her hair and makeup. I decide to put her hair half up half down. She stands up when we are all done with her outfit, hair and makeup.
"You look gorgeous." I tell her.
"Thank you." She says looking down at her beautiful dress. She goes running down stairs. Jasper is down there he is wearing a black suit and holding peachy pink roses. He looks at Meghan like she is the most beautiful women in the world. The whole team is gathered around Jasper.
"Hi Meghan." He squeaks out, his voice cracking. This makes Meghan laugh.
"Hi Jasper." She says. He hands her the roses and she takes them saying thank you, she hands them to me and I go to get a vase to put them in.
"What the hell are you doing to him?" Meghan asks the team angrily.
"We're interrogating him." Toby says looking Jasper in the eyes.
"Well stop." Meghan responds pulling Jasper out of the middle of the circle.
"Tell us some stuff about this... Jasper." Toby says looking at Meghan now.
"I'm right here." Jasper says interrupting their conversation.
"Yeah don't talk." Walter says looking at Meghan too.
"Well he is very nice, he sucks at watching where he is going, like Toby, he is funny, athletic and he's cute." Meghan says looking Jasper in the eyes.
"We're leaving now." Meghan says locking arms with Jasper and walking out the door. I watch them walk out, Jasper opens the car door for Meghan and she gets in. They are going to make a great couple.
