Chapter 18: Im ready.

WALTERS POV
We walk into the girls house it's not what we expect. It's bright pink walls and neon green carpets, obviously there's not male in the house. I walk over to a young girl with straight brown hair who looks about ten.
"Are you Kaycee?" Meghan asks the girl. She's shaking. She nods but doesn't say a word.
"We are the people who here to help you." Paige says kneeling to her level. She flinches then says
"You are the people that will find the man who hurt me." In a shy, scared voice.
"Don't be scared." I say kneeling down to her level. Meghan holds her shoulder and kneels down too.
"What happened to you shoulder?" The little girl asks.
"It's a long story, don't worry about." Meghan tells her. She touches Meghans shoulder and she flinches. She looks at me and then at Meghan's shoulder, she looks confused.
"What's wrong Kaycee?" I ask her.
"What happened to your shoulder?" She asks Meghan again.
"A bad man hurt me, but he's in jail now." Meghan tells her because I know she really wants to know.
"Feel better."
"Thank you sweet heart." She's a sweet girl.
"Can we talk to your mommy?" Paige asks.
"Sure." she responds. We walk over to her mom she looks like a nervous wreck when she sees us the first think she looks at is Meghan's shoulder, probably wondering what happened. Why does her shoulder draw so much attention?
"So what's the story?" I asks the lady.
"Well I was in my room resting and Kaycee is down stairs. All of a sudden I hear a huge bang a scream, next thing I know Kaycees gone." She says with tears in her eyes. Then a large man walks into the room at least twice my size.
"Who is this?" I ask looking at the large man.
"This is Kaycee's uncle, my brother." She says.
"What are you scared of me?" He asks me. I dint flinch.
"Watch it, or Meghan won't be the only on with a stab wound." Happy says looking him in the eye. This girl isn't afraid of anything.
"You think your tough? You think you so strong?" He says. He swings at her but she dunks. She kicks him in the gut and punches him in the nose. Then the man punches happy in the mouth, eye and head (head multiply times). She on the ground now and can hardly move. Toby goes to help her up but the man pulled out a gun, he shoots her in the stomachs and walks away. Kaycees mother just watches in disbelief. Paige is turned around to frightened to watch, Toby is kneeling next to her, Sly is hyperventilating, and me, I'm not sure what I'm doing. Toby picks up Happy.
"Don't let her stand." He says handing her to me and running off. I hear a crash and then some bullets. Toby walks out with the large body dragging behind him with bullet holes in his shirt.
"What did you do?" Cabe asks.
"I did what had to be done." He says taking Happy from me and taking her out to the van.
