Chapter 76: Are those wedding bells?

MEGHANS POV
(4 months later)
Today is the day. The day I am going to tie the knot with Shawn. I hardly slept last night, I was too nervous. It's only 8am right now and the wedding isn't until 11am but my nerves have gotten the best of me. I get changed into my regular clothes and go down stairs, nobody else is there yet, just Max and I. I sit down next to Maxwell's crib and pick him up gently and feed him.
"Guess what mommy is doing today? She is getting married to daddy. We are going to have a nice wedding and we are going to be one big happy family. You can even wear a nice suit." I say to Max, making him giggle as I tickle his tummy.
"Wow, I can't believe I'm getting married to that beauty today." Shawn says, making me jump. He walks into the room and kisses me.
"I'm so excited, babe." I respond, handing Max to him.
"Aww you two are cute." Toby says, walking into the room.
"I know." Shawn and I saw in unison, I smile up at him, so happy to finally marry him.
"Hey Meghan, shouldn't we get going you have to make sure your dress fits and then we have to finish setting everything up." Paige informs me. Since Shawn and I decided we were going to have the wedding here in the garage we have a lot of work to do especially since, the garage smells like mildew and looks like it could collapse any minute.
"Babe, can you please watch Max? While I go to my dress fitting and then we can work on setting up together?" I question Shawn.
"Of course baby, take your time." He responds, we kiss and Paige and I quickly exit the garage to get to my dress fitting appointment in time. While we're in the car Paige starts to talk.
"Are you ready for today? This is so exciting!"
"Yeah, I think I'm ready, a bit nervous, but more excited." I respond, smiling, nervously.
"Don't be nervous, this is your best friend you're marrying, there's nothing you could do to make him, not fall in love with you."
"Thanks, Paige."
"You are very welcome, now let's get inside, I can't wait to see your dress." Paige finishes, excitedly. We walk into the huge dress shop. We tell the lady at the front desk my name and she takes me to a room in the back, where my beautiful dress is hanging. I take it off the rack and change behind a curtain. Once the dress is on I come out and show Paige, her jaw drops to the floor when she sees me.
"You look beautiful." She complements, and I can't stop smiling. It is an ivory, two-piece, lace dress (picture in media) and I am in love with it.
"Do you really like it?" I ask her, still slightly nervous.
"No, I love it. Shawn is going to be blown away."
"Thank you so much!" I say, excitedly. I change out of the dress and put it gently back into the dry cleaning bag. Paige and I leave so we can help Shawn set up. Once we get to the garage, I walk in on Shawn holding Max and singing to him. He is so good with Max, I can't help but smile. I walk over to them and feed Max his bottle while, Shawn sets up, then I help as well. It takes us the entire day to clean up and decorate the garage, even though is just the team, Megan, Happys' father, Shawn's parents and Shawn's younger brother, we still feel like we should put a lot of work into this. Just as we finish, we check the clock and everybody starts getting ready. Since Walter, Toby, and Sylvester are Shawns best men, they all have to wear matching black and red tuxedos. Cabe is walking me down the aisle so he has a specific tuxedo on. Happy, Paige and Megan are my maids of honor and they are both wearing long matching red dresses, with Ralph and Max being the ring barriers and Jesse being the little flower girl. I change into my wedding dress and Shawn changes into his tuxedo, just as people start to arrive, Happy answers the door until her father gets here and then he takes over. I nervously wait until everybody is settled for the ceremony to begin. The minister is ready and tells that to Happy, who tells me. First Happy, Paige and Megan walk out and stand next to each other, then Max (being pushed in his carriage by Shawn), then Ralph and then finally me. Cabe takes my hand and walks me down the aisle, while a few tears, stream down my face.
"And who is giving the bride away today?" The minister asks.
" I am." Cabe says, wiping away a few of my tears and kissing my cheek. Shawn looks so handsome in his tuxedo that I can't even hold back my smile, but the look on his face is even better, he is looking at me like I am the most beautiful women in the world, and tonight I feel like I am. The next thing I know the minister is getting into his whole thing but I don't even know what he's saying because I am am to engulfed in Shawns sparkling eyes and perfect smile.
"By the power vested in me by the great state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The minister says and before I even have a chance to breathe, Shawn is already taking my face in his hands and kissing me passionately. The crowd cheers and I feel butterflies in my stomach, fly away. Shawn and I walk back down the aisle hand in hand and once we are in private, we kiss again but this time with even more passion. A few moments later we walk out while the food is being served. Shawn and I hold hands through the entire Entrees, while we keep getting congratulations from people around us. About halfway through the dinner Walter and Toby stand up in front of Paige and Happy. They each get down on one knee, Walter proposes to Paige, and Toby proposes to Happy. Paige and Happy have the same reaction, they put they're hands over their mouthes and nod slowly.
"Yes." They say in unison. Happy hugs Toby and Paige hugs Walter.
"Good timing, Walter." Paige says, in his ear.
"And why is that?" Walter asks, still hugging her.
"I'm pregnant." She whispers. Walter breaks away from the hug, looks her straight in the eyes and smiles. He picks her up of the ground in a tight hug, her beautiful red dress flowing when he picks her up.
"We're going to be parents?" Walter asks Paige, tears in his eyes. Paige nods.
"Yes, but we're a little late, Meghan and Happy already beat us to it." Paige adds, making everybody laugh.
"I've waited two months to tell you." She adds, Walter smiles and hugs her again.
"Walter can I get your permission, to propose to Megan?" Sylvester ask and Walter nods, slightly in shock.
"Megan O'Brien, will you marry me?" Sylvester asks her, getting down on one knee.
"Of course I will, Sylvester." Megan replies, Sylvester slips the ring on her finger and she hugs him tightly.
"Your not pregnant right?" Sylvester questions, Megan.
"No definitely not." She replies, with a look of relief on her face, they hug again, smiling.
"I would say we have gotten a lot accomplished today." Shawn comments, making everybody smiles and chuckle a bit. We all go out onto the 'dance floor' and party and dance. I don't think any of us could be more happy, today was a great night and we have all had a great two years together, and many more to come.
