Chapter 31: I can't loose you.

HAPPYS POV
"Why are we at a crappy motel?" I ask Cabe who is pulling into a motel parking lot.
"Well there's been a change in plans, our jet is not allowed to fly do to thunderstorms so we're stuck here for the night." Cabe says waiting for the teams reaction. We all look at each other. Some of us mad, some confused and some upset. We walk into the crappy motel I go and sit on the bed a mouse scurries across the bed spread.
"And there's a rat on the bed." I say looking at the mouse.
"Great. Do you know how many diseases a mouse could spread? Ever heard of the black plague?" Sylvester responds putting on hand sanitizer.
"Nobody has gotten the Black Plague in hundreds of years." Walter responds.
"I've lived in New Jersey most of my life trust me you will be fine." Meghan says sitting on a chair by the end of the bed.
"Well this is turning out great already." Toby says sarcastically.
"Yep fantastic, none of us brought our clothes because you said it would be a day trip." Meghan says looking at her now muddy clothes from the training facility. I feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach.
"Yeah and I didn't bring my medication because you promised it wouldn't be over night." I tell Cabe wincing. Toby reaches into his pocket and takes out a little container with two or three pills in it.
"I brought you medication for you, you know just in case." Toby says handing me one. I take it and swallow it with the water I have in my bag with my computer in it.
"Thanks Toby." I say looking into his eyes. I want to stop but I can't I'm so in love but I could never let him know.
"How are you feeling?" Toby asks me.
"Should be feeling better soon." I respond getting up off the bed.
"I'm aware I screwed up, don't worry it's only one night." Cabe responds. It's a crappy motel but it's actually pretty big. I walk to the bathroom to wash my hands, I turn on the faucet. Of course it doesn't work.
"I just want to make it clear that New Jersey's actually the best state ever, we just got a sucky motel." Meghan says with out getting up from the chair.
"I'm going out side for a second." Walter says stepping outside. I assume to get some fresh air. We hear a Big Bang and a care speeding away. We all run outside, Walter is gone.
"Oh my god, somebody took Walter." Paige says quietly.
"But we can find him." I say looking at the car speeding away.
"Walter always keeps his phone on him we can track it, and I saw the color of the car it's a dark blue Honda." I say looking at the team now.
"Yes! Your right!" Toby exclaims running into the motel. We go to get Walters computer, Toby opens it but it's locked.
"Crap there's a password." Toby says typing in a few passwords.
"Here use mine." Meghan says handing Toby the computer.
"He turned of his GPS and blocked all possible ways of tracking him. That clever bastard." Toby says trying to track Walter.
"We may not be able to track his phone but we can track the car!" I say running to the rental car. When we all get in the car I tell Meghan to get out her computer, she takes out her computer and hands it to me. I type in all the information about the car I saw. The same exact car pops up on the screen and it shows all the software. I'm able to hack into the cars control system. I can't mess with the car because Walters in it and we can't risk him getting hurt, so instead we follow the car.
"Take two lefts then a right." I tell Cabe. He does as told and then picks up the speed. I can see Paige biting her lip in the back seat, she's probably nervous about Walter. After about an hour of driving we arrive at the place where they are holding Walter, it looks like an abandoned warehouse. I trick the lock and we are able to get in. When we walk in it is completely empty. I drop to the floor and listen to the ground.
"There is a room underneath us, that's probably where they're holding Walter." I tell the team. I feel around for a while and then find the trap door. I open it and start climbing down the Ladder.
"Let me go first Happy, I don't want you to get hurt." Toby says from behind me.
"I'll be fine don't worry Toby." I tell him climbing down silently. I hear a deep moan from the room next to us and I go over to it. I see that it's Walter, he's being electrocuted. Paige turns away unable to watch, We see him there struggling. I quietly move closer to him. I have an idea, I walk up to the man.
"Hey, I'll program the bomb for you but you have to let my friend go after." I tell him.
"Who are you and how do you know I need a bomb." He asks me.
"Happy Quinn mechanical prodigy and I guessed." I respond.
"Program the bomb and I'll let your friend go." He says. I nod and move over to the computer, Walter is completely silent. I'm pretending to program the bomb when he is watching me but when he turns around I am actually disarming the bomb and unlocking Walter from the electric machine. He looks my way while I'm doing this.
"What are you doing?" He asks. I'm silent for a second.
"I'm done." I say gesturing to the computer. He walks over to the computer and a message pops up on the screen 'Bomb disarmed.' It says.
"YOU CANCELED IT?!" He yells.
"Now!" I shout, Walter gets out of the machine and Toby helps him to the ladder. They are all running up the ladder and I stay back. I grab a spare pipe and hit the man over the head with it, he falls to the ground and I call for Cabe. Cabe comes down and arrests the man and takes him to jail. We drive back to the motel and Toby examines Walter.
"Your going to be fine Walt." He tells him.
"Thanks Pal." He says doing some hand shake with Toby. I watch as Paige walks over to Walter.
"Hi Walter. Um... can I talk to you for a second." She asks.
"Sure." He responds. She sits next to him and takes his hand.
"I thought I almost lost you today." She says looking him in the eyes.
"I'm not going anywhere." He responds.
"I can't loose you." A tear falls down her cheek.
"I really care about you Walter." Walter takes her face in his hands and he takes her close and slowly kisses her. I watch for a little while smiling. Then Toby walks over to me he sees that I am watching Paige and Walter and sees that I'm smiling, not a big smile but a small one. We look at each other and look back at Walter and Paige. Toby takes my face softly in his hands and kisses me. It's soft and warm just like the first time we kissed but this time it's longer.
The next day we are all able to go back to California because there are no more storms. In the jet my favorite song September (by Earth, Wind and Fire) comes on. I feel Toby reach for my hand, he's takes it and holds it tight I hold his hand back. I look over to see Walter and Paige holding hands too. I look at Toby and smile, then I continue looking out the window.
"Guess who's allowed to go on missions again?" Cabe ask walking toward us.
"What?" The whole team asks.
"I told the head of homeland about how we saved Walter and he said we could go on cases again." The whole team cheers and smiles, Toby hugs me and I don't mind. I can't wait until we get home to celebrate.
