Ikhbal's POV.

.....

•••
I woke up to a dark freezing room and I tip toed on the cold tile, dabbing on the wall to switch on the light but couldn't find it. I blindly found the door knob with the deem moonlit raying into the room through the window.

I turned the knob many times but no avail, and I heard a voice from distant whilst I placed my ear on the door hearing the voice sounding nearer. The moment the voice was near, it sounded like Ammi's.

"Ammi?". No answer. "Ammi are you there?". I asked, still no answer. "Ammi please Answer me!". I pleaded with a glimpse of worry.

"Ikhbal, ana asif.I'm sorry!". Ammi's voice echoed from a distant.

I slowly peeled my eyes open and turned to Khalil's side but he wasn't there as my usual pillow mountain wasn't placed either and reality washed over me with the scenario at Khalil's parents house came flowing back to me. Albeit it has been 2 weeks after the incident with Khalil's mom but it was never erasing from my memory.

Flashback:

"Oh my god! Do you see how they look very cute". Khalil's mom said answering a phone whilst I just sat alone in the living room as Goggo excused herself to the kitchen. "Yeah, Khalil just left to meet A'isha at the lounge". And I looked at her confused, perhaps he hastily left without telling where he was heading to specifically, he just told us that he will come back to pick me up. "Oh! The wife?". She looked at me. "She's just here thinking she can control my son but she doesn't know he's just playing along". I fidgeted with my hands thinking of what she meant by 'he's just playing along' was he having a thing with A'isha whom I assumed was the A'isha I met once, and didn't mentioned or was his mother just saying that to ail me?

She hung up, gave me a brief glare and walked to the stairs whilst before she could climbed the first stair, she loosed her balance and collapse.

I looked at her stunned and frightened as I hastily ran towards her and held her head. "Goggo! Goggo!". I shouted on top of my voice and Goggo ran out of the kitchen and she helped me laid her on the couch.

She placed her phone on her ear, calling their Family doctor while I paced around in panic. "Ikhbal, the doctor is coming right now".

I nodded and it clicked on me 'seizure', "let me hold her head, bring me water". She dashed into the kitchen while I sat beside the couch holding her head up whilst Goggo sauntered with the water which I dabbed on her head.

After what felt like racing heart and sweat forms, the doctor finally came, attending to her whilst I called Khalil and informed him. After some moments, she was better and back to her normal self.

The doctor asked me if I was into medical college to how I tackled her which I answered as a 'pharmacist' and he asked I and Goggo to hold her to her room. I hastily walked to her and held her hand whilst she yanked her hand and pushed me a bit. I stood there for awhile and decided to follow behind them as Goggo held her to her room.

"How are you feeling?". I silently asked standing beside her bed as Goggo left the room.

She looked at me with utmost hatred. "Are you asking me to know what else to do to kill me witch?!". She spatted.

"I didn't do anything". I looked at her confused.

"That's what witches would say. After charming my son, what you wanted now is to see the end of me so that you can take over him and his money for good!". She changed to a sitting position. "But you know what lady?! Just because you married him doesn't mean you have him in your palms, besides, he's now with his true love, so who am I kidding?". She paused looking at me whilst I looked at her tears streaming down my face. "Just a quick advice, all you have to do is pack your whole trash and leave my son alone because you will eventually become a garbage when he marries my lovely A'isha which is what he's planning to without your knowledge". She smirked and turned away.
