|Mary|

We ran after the two, who were fat but fast. Then the realisation hit me when I remembered I could teleport. I was really stupid sometimes, wasn't I? I mean, how could anyone forget such an amazing skill? Enough scolding yourself, just kill them! My bad side whispered from inside. No! I have to be good. Enough killing Mary, just take them down!

I teleported in front of them and they fell back in terror. I got a closer look and recognised the twins immediately, both wearing similar hats to Georgie's almost making their faces hidden. But I knew from a mile away who these two overweight assholes were, so they weren't gonna fool me anytime soon.

"I knew it was you two! Where's the branch?" I eyes them with my glowing, red eyes. The Tweedles weren't smart, and if I recall, they're the ones that cursed the fake Book of Fables. It made me infuriated, illuminating my already glowing eyes and causing them to glow brighter.

"W-we don't know!" One of them stuttered, obviously lying. I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him close. His breathing was rapid and the look on his face was priceless.

"I'm in no mood to fuck around! Now tell me where it is or I'll slice your throat where you stand!" I threatened, making him gulp in a petrified state. I dropped him to the floor in disgust and paced back and forth, waiting for Alice and Maddie to run over.

"Mary...don't...hurt him!" Alice panted as she ran to join me, leaning over with her hands on her knees to regain her breath. Ah, the joys of being able to teleport.

"I wasn't. Just playing with him a little, right Dum?" I think he was Dum, but who knows. It was funny, actually. I had known these guys for years now and I still couldn't tell who was who. Just shows how good my attention span is.

"How the heck do you teleport Mary? I'm kinda nervous you'll show up in my room tonight since I have a mirror on my wardrobe..." Maddie scratched the back of his neck and was genuinely being serious as he tried to to avoid making eye contact. He was...afraid? I was used to being afraid of, but Maddie was supposed to be my friend. He knew what I did, so why was he scared now?

"That doesn't matter now! She asked you a question Dum, so spit it out!" Alice demanded impatiently, changing the subject quickly. Maddie still looked a little panicked, making me feel quite lugubrious. I didn't like it when my friends were afraid, and it almost made me afraid. Afraid of myself. Was I really that scary?

"He has it!" He pointed at Dee, snapping me out of my thoughts. Dee punched his brother in a splenetic manner fro spilling the beans.

"Well Dee, hand it over!" Maddie demanded. They stared at each other in anger before reluctantly handing it over to Alice. In a fit of ferocious anger, she started to whack them both with it.

"Ow! Come on man! That's not necessary!"

"This is what you get when you steal!" Alice huffed.

"So, who sent you two assholes? Must've been someone who wants to destroy this place and knows about everything we've done. Who is it?" I questioned.

"That information belongs to our boss, who you're all familiar with. You just need to find out who it is Mary, because he's been following you guys the whole day. And since you probably know who it already is, we suggest that you keep your mouth shut or the tiger will be going back to its cage," Dee explained with a villainous grin. I stood back, shocked at what they had just uttered. I knew exactly what they were getting at and who the culprit was, but I couldn't say or do anything. He had sent them here. He had been tracking us, watching our every move. Or should I say, my every move.
