(Update! I know I said that this chapter was gonna be the date, but it's really bad timing. The next two chapters will be the date, the first dinner and the special surprise afterwards. 30 is the Winter Ball, which should be quite long, but just be patient. I'm moving and there's more exams so it's stressful. Plus I'll be without internet for the next 15 days, so it might be slow updates. Anyway, thanks for all the votes, comments and reads!)
|Snow|
It was the 17th of December - The day before The Winter Ball and the second last day of school before we finish up for Christmas, (I'm still counting the minutes!)
It still hasn't snowed yet, but I checked the weather everyday to make sure I was ready for a surprise snowball attack. I really hoped it would snow soon since it always does at this time of year. The Homelands did have perfect weather to match the seasons after all.

I sat next to Beauty on the bus and we chatted about tonight. Tonight was probably going to be one of the biggest nights of my life. I was going on a date with Bigby, and I was a bit tense since I hadn't been invited out to dinner by a guy since me and Charming broke up.
I kept repeating this over and over again in my head, making me break out in a nervous sweat. I can't believe I was worrying about a date considering I've been through a whole lot worse.
"How are you feeling?" I sighed at her question and stared out the window. I haven't really talked much today because of the whole Mary situation. Why was I stressing so much about her?
Did I mention she hasn't been at school? She's been gone for ages now, and it was just another problem to add to my list of worries.
"Nervous, but excited. Charming and I never really had dinner before..." I trailed off as she patted my shoulder gently. I was invited to his house one time and we had pizza, but it wasn't really much of a date. We were going out to a really fancy restaurant I bet, so it was like a whole new experience for me.
"You'll be fine. He'll be more nervous than you I think. It's not everyday a wolf treats you to dinner after all!" She whispered so no one else could hear, making me giggle.
"You have a fair point there Beauty," I said with an anxious smile as the bus halted at my house.
I waved goodbye and ran in, straight to my room. I ignored Mum and Rose because I just wasn't in the mood to talk to them about my day. They would just have teased me about tonight anyway.
I still couldn't stop thinking about what he said...
"She loves me!" Bigby's words rang through my head, almost as if they were bouncing off the walls as well as the corners of my mind. I fell on the bed and stared at the ceiling, massaging my temples.
"Don't you know how to knock?" I muttered and Mary stepped out the mirror.
"Look I know you're pissed but hear me out," I lifted myself up, narrowing my eyes and folding my arms.
"Explain, why you all of a sudden, want to date my boyfriend then!" I huffed.
"Well, it's a long story..." She scratched her head.
"I have all day, so spill it," I demanded impatiently.
"Fine! It all started when I first met Bigby...his mother had died and he couldn't protect her from scavengers because he was so small. We were about three or four at the time so we were young and stupid. I was all alone, just like him. So we became friends really quickly. He hadn't met his father at that point so he couldn't shift. He was such a cute little puppy back then..."
