(Update! Yay, another chapter! Here, I'll explain how Mary was so evil and why she tried to kill Bigby... So, enjoy!)
|Mary|
Before going to the hospital, I went to my house and changed. Of course I wouldn't show up looking like that since it was practically covered in his blood. I looked like Carrie for fuck sake! Plus, I don't think he wanted to be reminded of the night now since he's such a state. Poor Bigby.
"So...how are ya feelin'?" I inquired. He didn't give me a second glance so I pulled up a chair and sat next to him. Neither of us said anything for a moment, creating an awkward silence.
Until he finally spoke, "What do you think? Like shit. And whose fault is that?" I hung my head in shame at his harsh but true words. It was my fault! I'm sorry Biggs...
"You know what? Just...just do it. I know you want some stress relief," I braced myself for the worst as he lifted himself up and gave a me a hard punch to the face. I fell back, knocking my head against the wall. It felt like he had broke my jaw, so I clicked it back into place and stood up to look at myself in the mirror. It was to form a lump that was already starting to turn blue.
"Ow! For fuck sake Bigby...considering you've been stabbed by silver, you sure do know how to throw a punch. Even when you've been hospitalised," I rubbed my cheek in pain and sat back down. His eyes never left mine, and the smile that spread on his face was priceless.
"Yeah. You deserved it though. Now, are you gonna tell me what happened back there?" He really expected me to go into feats il on why I did it? Oh god, here comes the long ass explanation.
"That's if I haven't got brain damage due to bashing my head off a wall!" He gave me his deaths glare, "Just kidding! I can remember, and this story involves your good old pal Georgie." He growled at the name but let me continue.
"Once upon a time - gotta go with the basics, you know?" I winked, elbowing his arm. He rolled his eyes and gestured for me to carry on.
"There was a girl called Mary who was known as the amazing and super scary killer Bloody Mary," he huffed at my description and I folded my arms before continuing, "Before she met the Big Bad Wolf, Mary was trapped in the mirror with no hope of ever being set free..."
Flashback
Third person view
Georgie Porgie was quite young when he had his first encounter with Mary. He was in the bathroom, and had been dared by Faith and Goldilocks to say her name five times to the mirror. When she didn't show up, however, the girls left the room to go do makeup. After they had left, she randomly appeared just as Georgie was closing the door. He jumped in surprise, but grinned and closed it gently behind him. She confronted him, and realising that he was a Fable, could do no harm.
The way she works was a mystery, as Mary was permanently trapped in the mirror until someone said her name in which she would kill them in whatever gruesome way she could think of. But when the deed was done, she would return to the mirror until the next unlucky child was to be killed.
The cycle was never ending, until Georgie Porgie had the best idea ever. An idea of how he could control Mary and make her do whatever unpleasant thing he wanted without getting ting his hands dirty. Mary teleported out the mirror to stand behind him, so he spun round to see the great Fable, her eyes glowing and in her true form holding a knife. The knife she always carried, or her "lucky knife" as she would call it.
"You're beautiful..." He whispered, examining her in awe. She lowered her knife and gave him a confusing stare. No one had ever said anything like that to her before, as she usually expected children to run away screaming before she would murder them in all kinds of horrible ways. The only person who had ever called her beautiful was the man in the mirror, and he was dead.
