Chapter 39-Interrogation

I dragged him deep into the forest, away from everyone. I didn't want them to overhear the conversation we were about to have. Sure, I wanted to kill him since he had intentionally hurt Snow right in front of me, but something told me that she didn't want that. Snow wouldn't be particularly pleased if I killed someone, and I had to control all the rage I felt for Brandish right now no matter what the circumstances.

"Wake up asshole!" I slapped him a few times a bit too hard but he jerked awake nevertheless. His hard darted from side-to-side frantically until his eyes finally met mine. I glared at him as he stood up and rubbed his head where the gash was.

"What happened? Who hit me? Was it you?" He faced me with an angry sneer and a tint of fury in those blue eyes. I shrugged my shoulders and folded my arms.

"No unfortunately. I didn't get here fast enough because if it was me that hit you, you'd wake up in a hospital," I growled. His angry facial expression disappeared and was replaced with...happiness? He was supposed to feel threatened, not proud. His grin never faded and his eyes never left mine. Why was this guy so hard to read? He was supposed to be scared, right?

"Oh really? Sorry to disappoint you Bigby, but it would probably be you who'd be in a hospital," I scoffed at his ridiculous statement. "You think I'm afraid of you? In case you haven't noticed, I'm not. I don't give two shreds of a shit if you're dating Snow because she will be mine one way or another. Your big, scary act won't work on me Wolf." He tutted, shaking his head.

Well, this was different. Usually if I threatened someone, they would be running away in fear. Heck, no one would take a second glance at me after what I did to Georgie back in Middle School. Believe it or not, his courage and grin sent shivers down my spine. He was way too confident even though I'd rip in apart in minutes. He just doesn't know it yet.

"Quit the whole 'I'm not afraid of you act' Brandish, because I don't give a fuck if you're scared or not. I didn't come here to threaten you. Actually, scratch that, I did. Stay the fuck away from Snow or I will be doing a lot worse than this."

"Wha—" I didn't give him the chance to finish due to my fist colliding with his nose. I felt it crack, and was pretty satisfied when he grasped it in pain, muttering obscenities while thick, red blood dripped onto the grass.

Hopefully that would destroy his urgency of chasing Snow around like a stalker.

I hope.

I really didn't want to kill Brandish which was surprising, I know. But I was on thin ice with the headteacher and my dad. He threatened to kick me out the house if I fucked up again, so that's a problem.

"Fuck! Someone knows how to throw a punch! But just because you broke my nose doesn't mean I'll be giving up anytime soon. Did she not tell you about our agreement? Let me rephrase that. Did she actually tell you anything? Maybe about her breaking my curse and how I vowed to marry her when we were of age? How she and her peasant family ran away just to get out of it?" My eyes widened in surprise.

Now that I think about it, she never told me anything about this guy. It was almost as if she was afraid of telling my in case I did something stupid. I couldn't blame her. Stupidity is just in my nature. It's what I do since I always hang around crazy people.

"Things change Brandish! You may not like it, but I'm with Snow. She clearly doesn't like you and you know it. Stop living in a fantasy land and get back to reality. Snow White will never love you, so get over it. I love her more than anyone I've ever met in my entire life. And I'm not gonna let a little prick like you get in the way of that, so I'll say this once and only once. Stay the fuck away from her." I said the last sentence very slowly, ensuring it went through his head. He looked amused, but almost shocked at the same time.
