I've been tossing and turning for hours, but I just couldn't sleep a wink. My mind kept returning to Cyprus and the crying look on his face. He assured me that he was already feeling better after talking about it, but part of me was still worried.

"Okay, that's it!" I got up from the couch and put on my robe. I didn't bother changing out from my silk gown anymore. I just grabbed my pillow and cell phone before heading straight out my unit.

I sent him a text, letting him know that I was just outside his door. I was starting to think about giving him a call, but the door suddenly opened.

He stood right in front of me, shoulders down and dressed in his thin black sando.

Humigpit bigla ang yakap ko sa unan ko.

"Hey." He flashed a faint smile despite his deep, tired eyes. His hair was a total mess, but I love how it looked on him—sabagay, kahit ano pa ang hairstyle niya, kahit makalbo man siya, wala pa rin namang magbabago. I'll always stare at him with love in my eyes.

"Hey." I smiled back and walked in, hunching down as I passed under his toned arms.

He chuckled and closed the door. "Hindi ka makatulog?"

"Mmm-hmm." I grinned and slumped down his couch. Ipinatong ko ang unan sa dulo ng sofa at pinagpagan nang kaunti bago ito tuluyang hinigaan. "Don't mind me and just sleep in your room."

I turned sidewards and folded my arms, trying to make myself comfortable. But before I could even close my eyes, Cyprus walked right up to me and reached out his hand. "Sa kuwarto ka na matulog, ako na rito."

Sumangot ako at pumikit nang mariin, nagbingi-bingihan. I heard him laugh and felt him bend down right in front of me.

"Come on, I can't let you sleep on the couch," he spoke, ever so gently.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw his sweet smile gracing over me. For someone with a baggage like his, I can't believe he can still smile like nothing's bothering him. I thought I was already good at hiding my sorrows, but skills are nothing compared to his.

"Please?" he asked, tilting his head.

I rolled my eyes and heaved a sigh. I guess he finally figured out my weakness—his adorable smile.

Panic was evident on his voice.
