"Joe!" Mimi suddenly slapped my arm, snapping me out of my reverie.
"Ha?" I blinked my eyes, looking at them with my mouth slightly parted.
Natagpuan ko ang sarili kong nakaupo sa isang picnic blanket, kasama ang mga kaibigan kong kanya-kanya ng higa habang nakatingala sa langit na bahagyang natatakpan ng mga sanga at dahon. Nakapwesto kami sa ilalim ng isang malaking puno, sumisilong mula sa mainit na sikat ng araw.
Sa aming lahat, ako lang ang nakaupo at nakasandal sa puno.
"A-Ano nga ulit ang topic?" I let out an awkward laugh as I dragged myself to sit up straight.
"Don't tell me you're still being OA over that kiss?" Megan shot me a bored gaze, still lying on the blanket.
"Jeez! That was like two days ago! Move on!" sabi naman ni Mimi at pabiro akong binato ng popcorn.
Natawa na lamang ako. "Sorry, it's just that Sawyer and I haven't seen or talked to each other ever since it happened. Should I reach out to him first?"
Remy laughed. "Ikaw bahala. Pero sinabi mo naman na walang malisya, problema na niya kung bibigyan niya."
"Okay lang 'yon!" Mimi assured me. "Unless that guy has a girlfriend, of course? Lagot ka talaga!"
Napalunok ako nang wala sa oras.
"P-parang wala naman yata siyang girlfriend ngayon?" I laughed shakily. "I mean, I would know kasi lagi naman silang nakatambay sa bahay at hindi nila sinisikreto sa akin ang kalokohan niya."
