Four Year Old Calum

Jessica moved to Australia when she was 4.Her mum had always wanted to go and it seemed like the right time.

Her Grandpa passed away and her family wanted a change of scenery.

One of her mums friends moved their during her school days.They had kept in contact and ended up moving in the house next door.

Jess was a lonely child but had always craved a brother or Sister even though she was 4.Her mum told her things would change when they moved to Australia and they did.

When they arrived all she wanted to do was sleep but couldn't.The furniture was being shipped over within the first week.She didn't really understand why she couldn't go in her own bed as she was only 4.

Luckily her mums friend was home and was their neighbour so she had somewhere to rest.

She was carried in the huge house in her fathers arms.Joys house wasn't that big but seemed it to a small 4year old.

They were greeted by a small cute little family.Joy,her mums friend was a small woman with short dark hair.Her husband was a pretty average man who had obviously started to go a little grey.Jess didn't really care about them at that moment though.

She was distracted by the two small children glued to her legs.The small child was overwhelmed,she didn't really have many friends in England and just wanted someone to play with everyday.

One of the children caught her eye as he looked the same age as her.A small boy with dark wavy hair was peeping his head out from behind Joys legs.

He had a huge cheeky grin plastered on his face and so did Jess by now.
"Hey Vera I haven't seen you in years"
Joy smiled and said in glee,escaping the grip of her two young children.
"Joy I've missed you,these must be your kids."

"Yeh is this little munchkin yours then"

"Yeh Jess is four"

"Oh the same age as Calum why don't they go play while we get you settled."

"Sounds good,Jess do you want to go and play with Calum and his sister"

"It's Mali"the little girl spoke up who had her brother now hiding behind her.
Jess nodded and squirmed out of her farthers grip.
"Hey Calum and Mali"she said in her little chirpy voice walking towards them.
"Rose do you wanna play ninja turtles or dolls"

"Hmmmmm"this was a hard decision for a tiered four year old who loved both these things.
"Ninja turtles"she said with a little giggle.
"Yay come with me"a happy Calum said and took her arm.
Joy spoke up
"Calum Thomas Hood were do you think your taking little Jess."

"To play ninja turtles"he answered smiling.

"Dose she want to"

"Yep"Jess answered and ran of with Calum to Play Ninja turtles.

"Looks like them two get along then"Vera said looking at the pair running up the stairs.

"Thank god,they'll be good friends."Joy said and they left the two cheeky 4 year olds to play.

Jess new within those few short moments that she was gonna love Sydney.
