The city- the 1975

Calum wouldn't talk to me yesterday and it broke my heart.I had to explain: I needed to.Thats why Alex had dragged me onto his tour bus.
"I thought you where going with Calum?"Jack asked me as I sat down on Alex's bed.

"So did I"
"Is he still not talking to you?"
"Yeh he still won't talk to me."
"That sucks"
"I know Jack, but can I just sleep till we get to London."
"Sure here"Alex shot me his pillow and I cuddled into it tightly.
"Goodnight guys"
"Night Jess"they all called back and I closed the curtain.

I was awaken by ruffling outside the curtain.
"Go talk to her"Alex's voice said and I got a little nervous.
"But I...I messed up Alex"
"Go"the footsteps got louder and closer.

Debating on weather or not to hide under the quilts forever or not I pulled it to my chin.
The noise of the Metal ring of the curtain pulling across the rail startled me.

"Erm...Jess it's me I came to talk."Calum's throaty voice rang through my ears causing me to smile up at him.
"Calum I'm sorry I really am."
"I'm sorry too"
"Calum you have nothing to be sorry for"
"I shouldn't have ran away from my problems."He then dipped his head down sitting beside me and I shuffled further away to ensure he could sit properly.

"It wasn't your problem I created it"Alex's popped his head around the corner with a confused look on his face.

"Can we go out side?"Calum mumbled and smiled down to me.
"I'm in my pyjamas."
"Here"he took of his jacket and gave me it.
"I know you like the smell of them."

Me and Calum had been talking for about an hour and I was barley listening to what he said.Just watching his plump lips move and remembering how is missed them so much the months he was gone and miles away from me.

"Jess...Jess did you hear what I said?"
"No sorry I didn't"
"I said I want to get engaged to you Jess.Then your mine and I really want you to be.I love you."
"Calum I love you too but."
"But what?"

"Not right now"I ran away from him as that's all I felt like doing.What he'd apologised for, running away from my problems.I ran past the huge hotels and buildings till I got to a park.A huge park with large trees and couples walking about with each other snuggled to keep warm.

Then that's when I remember Calum's jumper on my back.It smelt strongly of him and I couldn't help but cry.Ive just turned down the opportunity to be engaged to the man that I love : to be engaged to Calum.

Tears where running down my face and I just couldn't stop them.I was in London in a park I've never been to sat lonely on a bench crying in my pyjamas when I could be cuddle on the tour buss with Calum.

"Are you okay?"I heard a girls voice and she only seemed to be about 12.I shook my head and tried to wipe my eyes but it didn't work.

"I know who you are how come your out here on your own Jess?"
"I needed to get out of the way for a while."

"Look I'm Chloe and your such an inspiration to me.Do you need to talk?"
"Yeh but promise not to say anything."I sniffled and she nodded.

"Me and Calum had a fight the other day I did something stupid so Alex stayed with me.Then I slept on the bus drive and when we got here Calum woke me up.He asked me something and I just didn't know what to do.What shall I do?"

I cried to this complete stranger and it was kind of comforting to let it all out.
"Well I've seen you and Calum together and I saw how he looked at you when he was singing.He loves you Jess.But if you don't mind me asking, what did he ask you?"

"To get engaged to him but that's big."
"Do you love him?"
"Yes"
"then get engaged to him it's simple."
"Nothing's simple with Calum."
"It is if you make it."
Seriously she was true this girl may have only been young but she new about this she new the truth.

"I need to at least answer him don't I"
"Yes"
"I'm scared to go back."
"Why don't you stay with me tonight I'm sure my mum wouldn't mind?"

"Ermm okay but let me just let Alex know I'm okay."

I'm safe I'll be back tomorrow. X

Jess where are you Calum told me what happened... I'll come pick you up x

To Alex
It's fine I met one of your fans, I'll just come back tomorrow x

With that I turned my phone of and slipped it in my pocket.
"So Chloe have you ever seen the boys?"

"Yeh a couple days ago."
"Cool and where are we going?"
"To my house it's just down the road."
"Good it's freezing"
"I know but at least you have your jacket on."
"It's Calum's."
"Oh sorry."

Chloe's house was huge and it felt so homely.She informed me that her mum and dad wouldn't be home till later.

Once my phone connected I had multiple messages and tweets from Calum and all the boys.

The first tweet from Calum made me want to run straight back to him.

I scrolled through his feed and saw the confused fans replying but I new what he meant and so did Chloe.
"Have you seen these?"she asked me and I nodded.

"I so badly just wanna go see him."
"Well then do it."
"He probably hates me"
"He obviously doesn't Jess now stop being scared for the future because I know you want to spend it with Calum."
"I do"
"Then call him!"

All of that night was spent debating with Chloe if I should call Calum or not.I did love him and being in this city in the park watching all those happily married couples made me realise.Made me realise I wanted that to be me and Calum happily in love years from now.Thats why now I'm going to call him.

"Calum are you there?"I asked when someone answered the phone.
"It's Mali"
"Oh is Calum there?"
"Yeh he doesn't want to talk he's embarrassed about what happened."
"He shouldn't be I love him!"
"But you ran away Jess!"Mali mumbled down the phone and I stated to cry.

"Look can I just talk to him."
"He's in the shower."
"Tell him I love him and that I'm safe."I sighed not wanting to talk anymore from crying.

"I will Jess take care."
"Thank you Mali goodnight."

I curled up in the bed and let the tears fall.
Chloe leaned down from the top bunk and whispered to me,
"Was he there."

"No"
