I watched as my little girl walked out of the door of her school.Her dark wavy hair blowing about.Violet now has similar facial features as Calum but her hairs like mine and also she's cursed with being pale like me.

"Mummy"She shouted running to me and jumping in my arms.

"Hello darling how was school?"
Confused as to why she was fiddling with my coat and not answering even though she usually loves school, I asked her another question.
"Vi are you okay bub?"

Being the stubborn little girl she is there was still not a word out of her mouth and she talked but changed the subject.

"Where's Daddy?"
"He's gone to pick up Tommy."
"Okay I want to see him."
"I know you do are you going to walk like a big girl?"
Violet nodded as I put her on the ground and she held my hand swinging it back and forth.

Whilst we where walking to the car a couple about my age walk past and the woman was pregnant.She smiled sweetly at me and Violet waved.

"Mummy did she have a baby in her belly?"
"Yeh she did."
"How did it get there?"

Well shit, she's 5 I can't tell her that.Calum and I have spoke about what we would say if the kids asked but it's never actually come up.

After I strapped her in the car she asked again.Although I was trying to avoid this talk for as long as possible.
"Well Vi when two people love each other a lot they can choose to have a baby like me and daddy did."
"So why was it in her tummy?"
"Because the mummy has to look after it before it's strong enough to grown on its own.Like Aunty Mali had Felix in her tummy till he was big enough like he is now."

"Ooh okay so me and tommy where in your tummy?"
"Yep Tommy first and then you."
"Cool"she giggled and asked for me to turn the music up and I did because I new she liked to sing along.

Once we arrived home Calum's car was in the drive.Then my 8 year old son ran out giggling.
"Dad bought me some new drums come look!"Tommy pulled on my hand then Calum came up lifting up Vi and giving her a kiss.

After going to see the drums with a very excited Tommy and leaving him to play them in the garage I went back to check on Vi.

She was asleep cuddled into Calum with her blanket and I leaned over his shoulder kissing his cheek.

"When did you buy them?"
"When you where at work.Don't worry though I got Vi a karaoke machine."
"Calum she'll love that."

He turned his head and kissed me trying not to disturbing our daughter napping on his lap.
"Cal something's up with her."I sighed sitting down on the other side to him and putting my head on his shoulder.

"Did you ask her?"
"Yeh she wouldn't say you know she's a daddy's girl!"
"I'll ask her later babe don't worry it's probably something silly."

As I was tiered and so was Calum we decided on just ordering Pizza for supper.Violet was now awake and talking to Calum while he set the karaoke up in her room for her.

I wanted to know what was wrong, it's just a shame she wouldn't tell me.
"Mum can I have a baby brother?"Tommy asked sitting at the table.

"Why do you want a brother?"I asked him giving him three slices of the pizza.
"Then I can teach him drums."
"Well we will have to see what happens then won't we.You just eat your pizza I'm going to get your dad and Vi."

They where already making there way down stairs Calum giving her a piggy back.
"Your going to be too old for that soon!"
"I'm 29 babe I've still got at least 10 years of piggy backs ahead of me."

"Maybe more"I mumbled as I lifted Violet into the chair and Calun got the pizza.
"And whys that?"
"Tommy here wants a baby brother!"
"Me two, me two, me two."Our daughter giggled getting her pizza.

"Well"Calum wrapped his arms around me before I sat."We could make that happen baby you know I can."

Calum kissed my neck and I kissed his lips causing Tommy to scrunch his face up.And Violet to shout,
"Mummy you told me not to kiss boys!"
"Because you're 5 and I never kissed boys when I was 5."
"And which boys do you want to kiss missy?"Calum asked when we sat at the table.

"No one"she mumbled eating her pizza.
Calum put his arm over the back of my chair.
"Babe well talk later okay."

Nodding I finished my pizza taking the plates and putting them in the dish washer carefully with some help from Tommy.

"Thanks buddy"
He looked at me and smiled.
"Mum I really want a baby brother for my birthday."
"That's in January darling that's 7month away.You'll change your mind!"
"I won't"
"Okay I'll try but I can't guarantee a brother and probably not on your birthday."

"Okay I just really want a baby."
"Me and dad will try our best son."
"Thank you mum"
He hugged me tight and Calum walked in the room carying a sleeping Violet.

"I'm taking her to bed are you coming Tom?"
"Yeh dad thank you mum, I love you."

Calum furrowed his eyebrows and I nodded to him letting his know i would tell him later.
"I love you too Tommy goodnight."

Tonight was a bit different for Calum and I as Joy had came round and said she'd look after the kids because Calum wanted to take me out somewhere.

While I was getting changed he kept coming over and wrapping his arms around me or occasionally kissing my neck.

"Calum when did you book this dinner?"
"The day I treat the kids.I wanted to treat you too baby."
"Okay but you know about us having another baby, do you want to try?"

"Of corse I do you know I love kids."
"Well then maybe tonight we can try."
I whispered as we walked hand in hand down the stairs Joy smiled and waved looking up from her book.

"Just make sure the kids are okay please.If they come down just give them milk or something and don't give Vi anything sugary if she comes down it makes her sick on a night."

"I know darling I'll look after them don't you two worry and just go enjoy yourselves."
"Thank you Mum."Calum said waving goodbye to Joy as we left her in charge of the kids.
