Calum's PoV:
So....Jess.She well ermmm...ended up in a coma, after they put blood back in her body she was still very weak.The doctors recon she must have took some pills or something too and that scares me.Jess was still alive but she didn't seem it, she'd been in a coma for two hole weeks.

She must have been   planning this for a while because no way are a bottle of pills and a knife just gonna show up on the side of the track.

When she first got blood back in her body she seemed okay.All she did was mumble my name, never opening her eyes but she seemed alive.Better than she is now.

At least then there was a little bit of life left in her.
"Hood do you want some food?"Alex asked standing up from his chair on the other side of the bed.
"I'm good I'll just stay with Jess."
"Calum you need to eat she'd want you to take care of yourself."her mum spoke up.

The "two people per room rule"was put out the window when she got here.She quickly  persuaded them to let me stay in the room: even though they found out I wasn't her brother soon enough.

"What if she wakes up?"I sighed squeezing her hand.
"I'll call you straight away Calum."
"Come on you haven't eaten properly in days!"Alex stated patting my shoulder.

"Promise you'll call"
"I promise now go eat and bring me a coffee."

Alex finally dragged me out of the room (much to my dismay) and as soon as I did I felt a lump form in my throat.

Gulping it back I carried on walking down the narrow corridor.Constantly looking over my shoulder i was getting worried something was going to happen because I was gone.

This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't have left her alone.
"Calum I know it's hard but relax a little.The boys are already worried about you too."Alex said and handed me a sandwich.

"They called?"I didn't even know they had been in contact.
"Yeh and it's all over Twitter."
"What's gonna happen with the tour?"
"Held back two weeks"
"Oh okay I'm gonna go back now."

"Wait Calum."Alex took hold of my arm and pulled me to him.
"What if she...doesn't make it?"he asked while crying and I couldn't help but cry.I thought I'd drained all my tears.Also this was the first time I'd seen him cry since she was brought into hospital.

"Alex I know she will, she can!"I hugged him and we cried together before we were interrupted.

My phone was ringing and before I even looked at the caller ID I ran.It was Vera, something's wrong with Jess.

My feet were moving as fast as they could down the corridor that seemed to be getting smaller; Closing in on me and fading away as I got closer to her.

The door way to her room was blocked with doctors and I slowly tried to push past them but they wouldn't move.

"And who are you sir?"
"Calum T Hood"
"Cal?"the male doctor asked and I nodded.
"Come in"he smiled at me with a change from his dim mood.

"She's been asking for you since she woke up about two minutes ago."Vera spoke with a dry throat then smiled and I saw some tears in her eyes.

Her body was no longer laid flat, curled up on her side now with the covers tucked up to her chin.How she always sleeps!

"Your awake"I sighed sitting beside her and kissing her forehead.
"Barley"she mumbled lightly holding my hand.

"I love you"was all I could say, I wanted to see her eyes.To know if she was truly here.
"I love you to Cal"she mumbled her voice quiet and muffled by the thin hospital covers.

Being speechless from hearing her voice I just sat and started at her.The paler face than usual and the dark circles under her eyes haunting me.

"Can you open your eyes for me?"I asked hopeful as I kissed her hand.
"Cal I'm not sure, it takes a lot of energy that I don't have."

"You can do it Jess, just remember when ever you open your eyes you'll see me."
She loosened her grip on my hand and her eyelashes were fluttering very slightly.

"Come on baby"when I said that her eyes peeped open(very slowly.)All the doctors and her mum sighing in relief.

"Those beautiful eyes, I've missed them."
She smiled and that made me smile, I love her and she was smiling again.After so long, it was amazing.

Although it crushed me it faded when she looked at me,"Calum I'm sorry I put you through this."

"It's not your fault", I reached for her hand once again but she moved it.
"Calum I'm the one that tried to fucking kill myself and you had to witness it."
"Well if I never you'd be dead."I sighed a little annoyed that she was blaming this on herself.Im the one that left!

She mumbled something under her breath before the doctor came and sat on the chair the other side of the bed to me.

"So Jessica, now you've woke up and you seem to be okay."
"It's Jess"I told him and she giggled.
"Anyway we will have to keep you in for about another week and for you to be seen by a psychiatrist."

"Ugh why?"she sighed and turned her back towards the doctor.
"She's seen one before, it obviously didn't work."I told him and he shrugged.

"Well then we'll have to think of another treatment plan with your mum.

Meanwhile get some rest the more you rest the faster you'll recover."

"Okay"she grumbled and I stared down at her, not wanting to look away.
"Calum"the doctor spoke up as he walked to the door(Alex replacing him in the chair.)

I looked at him and he stared at me sternly.
"You're going to have to leave the room.Its the rules, your not family."

I looked at Jess who was shaking her head, then to Vera.
"He's staying that's what my daughter wants.So that's what she's getting!"she snapped at him and he rushed out the room not speaking another word to any of us.

"Calum I trust you son, I'm going to get some food.Make sure she sleeps."
"I'm still here"
"I know darling, I love you okay I'll be back soon."

"I love you mum"she tapped my hand and I quickly looked at her.
"What's up?"
"Cuddle"she simply said and I was confused.

"What?"
"I want to cuddle before I go to sleep."
"In your hospital bed?I don't think that's a good idea."

"Calummmm I've missed you.I know you want to cuddle."

"Fine okay I do, but what if we get caught?Im blaming you."
"I'm sick that's not fair."
"I'll keep look out"Alex laughed as I carefully snuggled on the bed with her.

Once she got comfy I wrapped my arms softly around her.
Soon she looked up at me,"I'm not going to break if you hug me."

"But..."
"Calum"she smiled and I kissed her cheek but she moved kissing me.
"Your ill"

"I don't think being depressed is spread through a kiss."she kissed me again and Alex laughed.

"You too are the cringiest couple ever."

"We're not a couple"I reminded him and we all sighed.

"Now go to sleep"I stroked her hair when she snuggles into me.And I could finally feel her heart beat again.Not just on a screen.

Just as she fell asleep the doctor came in and I didn't dare to move in case it woke her.He laughed a little, a tall doctor who looked old and a little wiser than the other one.

"Hello, I'm Doctor Fletcher I'm the physiatrist.So I've heard Jess had already seen one of us."he whispered and I replied also in a whisper.

"Yeh, when she was fifteen."
"I've heard your her boyfriend, is that right?"

"No...well it's complicated.I was for a couple month.Before that I was her best friend..thats what we are now."

"Okay.I just wanted to let you boys know the plan for her."
