Don't they say that none of us will leave this world alive? Yet, for Sokka's part, he intended to leave the biggest and most glorious footprint he can. Maybe Yue's will be right next to his, that it is together they walk, to finally be rejoiced with his soulmate.

Sokka's face became pale, his lower body trembling as he tried coming back into reality though he continued staring into the distance when his back comes into contact with the ground below.

Katara cried and screamed as if the ferocity of it might bring Sokka back as long as the sheer force of her grief would make the news become undone. He was her brother, her only brother and he could not be gone. From her mouth came a cry so raw that even the eyes of Aang and Suki were suddenly wet with tears.

Aang made an effort to hold her back, to calm her, even as his own tears fell thick and fast but in her distress and anguish, she was too strong, too wild. After whirling about, unable to look through her puffy eyes, she frees herself from Aang's grasp and reaches the edge of the roof. She jumps to catch up with Sokka who lies on the ground below, with the support of her waterbending solidifying her safe landing.

At some point she arrives, she sank to her knees not caring for the ground that dirtied her dress. The sure knowledge that life would go on without Sokka, that time was only stopped for her and undid her completely.

Suki tumbles out of the door while Aang uses his glider's assistance to unite with Katara. The warrior couldn't tolerate herself being reminded as some idiot who should have known better than standing around allowing the enemy to put together a target out of her.

The ocean moved and the wind blew, but to her everything had stopped. It was only in the stillness of that late-night that Suki could hear the princess of the South Pole calling for her brother's name.

Suki watches Katara hold Sokka in her arms, she listens to her cry as if her brain is being shredded from the inside while Aang stood in silence, permitting Katara set her emotions free.

The Kyoshi Warrior grabbed onto a tree so that her intense shaking would not cause her to fall and from her eyes came a thicker flow of tears.

Katara casts her eyes to the moon, she needed the Spirits' love more than ever now. "Dear Spirit of the Moon, please do not take my brother from me." The pain that flowed from her was so severe that soon the only person at her side was the Avatar, struggling to keep his tears silent, looking up at the moon.
