Princess Katara ran in the direction of her target. Her mind was swarmed with questions: How did she get here? How did no one notice something was wrong? These were questions with no answer.

As Kiaya takes a left, Katara goes for a shortcut, hoping Kiaya was going in the direction she anticipated she'd go over.

Pushing her arms back and forth, jumping over small stairs, Katara pumped her legs as fast as they could go. No way Katara was going to let that backstabber get away or she'd never forgive herself. Three more leaps and Katara made it as she comes face to face with Kiaya, who gasped in fright as she thought she lost her.

Katara breathes heavily and holds the blade's tip to Kiaya's neck. "I gave you a choice, didn't I?"

Kiaya joints her hands together as she implored. "Please, I was only following the orders given to me."

Katara pants and wears a questionable look as she scanned her up and down. "You're not from here, perhaps you're from the Fire Nation?"

"I was only doing what they told me to do, I swear! They would've–"

"I do not give a crap about your justifications, you've done what you've done and you will pay the price." Katara takes a step closer and Kiaya falls to her knees.

"They were going to kill my family!" She sobs.

For a split second, Katara had a heart and hesitated to put the blade down.

"T– They said if I didn't do as they said, they would kill my family a– and make me watch!" Kiaya begs for mercy and Princess Katara clenches the blade tighter.

"They?"

"Fire Lord Ozai's daughter!" Kiaya cries out. "She's the one that made me do this!"

Katara licks her teeth as anger curled hot and unstoppable in her gut like a blazing inferno that wanted to burn her from the inside out. She lets out a growl of annoyance. "Cool story, really, but it doesn't change the fact you strived to kill me."

Kiaya looks down and slowly raises herself back up, fists clenched on her sides. "Fine... If you won't listen..."

Katara's eyes catch two guards approaching them to assist her as she brings the hand holding the blade back to her side. "Save your breath until you tell me how to reverse this–"
