A few days later...
Katara was thrilled at the thought of travelling and touring new places. The group just settled in Zuko's beach house located on Ember Island and were yet to plan activities to do in the meantime.
Katara tries on her most vacation-inspired outfit Aang bought her and checks herself out in the mirror. Temperatures at the Fire Nation are much warmer than at the South Pole so Katara was new to this warm atmosphere.
Everyone currently just finished eating breakfast, Suki and Katara stayed behind to clean up the kitchen.
"Oh Suki, let me handle this." Katara tells her as she takes the plates from Suki's hands. "I don't want you to work too much."
She flashes an appreciative smile. "Thanks, Kat. I know you want to help but I'm just pregnant, not vulnerable. You don't need to look out for me all the time, honey." Suki expresses.
Katara narrows her eyes. "Well, I wouldn't want Sokka to walk in and yell at me about it. Which already happened– He's very protective of you, y'know?"
Suki laughs, her cheeks heat up. "Your brother can be cute sometimes."
Katara rolls her eyes. "Yeah, right. He can also be cranky sometimes."
Toph snickers. "I'm on Sugar Queen's side on that one." She comments, making herself comfortable on a chair beside the table in the kitchen.
Katara shoots a look at Toph. "Instead of sitting and doing nothing as usual you could help or do something productive." She shakes her head as she began putting the plates away.
"How about... No?" The earthbender grimaces. "Sounds like a chore. I'm outta here." She snorts as she walks out before Katara could drag her back in and make her sweat. "I'm gonna go rest my feet in some mud!" She declares openly.
Zuko bumps into Toph. She hits his arm and tells him to watch where he's going. Zuko opens his mouth to tell her the same thing but chose not to say anything or he'd end up in a sticky situation.
Zuko shakes his head as he saunters into the kitchen. "Have you guys seen Aang or Sokka, anywhere?"
"They went to buy more food supplies at the markets or something... They should be back soon, why do you ask?" Suki questions.
