I awoke to the sound of a knock on the door. I looked up to see Harry fast asleep. I pondered how to get up without waking him and how to shout "come in" without waking him. I sighed and hoped they'd open the door. And they did. I smiled as I saw Lou's head pop in.
"What the-?" he laughed gesturing to my attire.
I nodded toward Harry. He nodded and mouthed 'of course'. I tried to stifle my snickering but it failed. He woke up.
"Oce?" he looked down and then at the door
"Haz!" Lou shouted coming in the room before turning around and shouting, "He's awake"
"Lou!" he smiled
I tried to climb out of bed but Harry noticed without looking down at me and gripped me tighter.
"Harry let me get out of bed so you can greet your friends...our family" I tried to persuade him
"No" he mumbled
"Harry" I laughed, "It's ok. I'm not leaving this room"
He looked at me.
"Promise?" he whispered
I leaned forward and kissed him, wiggling my nose as I felt the oxygen tube under his nose.
"I promise"
He moved his arm and I stood up and off the bed.
Harry's POV
I watched her sit down after she climbed off the bed. She looked over to me and smiled.
"How are you feeling?" Lou asked
"Like shit" I mumbled, "I'm in a lot of pain"
"Well mate, you all scared us. I thought I lost one of my brothers" Lou sniffled
"Aww mate" I hugged him, "It's alright"
"Hey dickhead" Niall laughed, "I appreciate you not dying on us"
"Niall!" Lou laughed
"But it's true! I would've been severely depressed" he laughed, "But seriously, mate, I don't know what would've happened if you didn't make it"
Niall started to tear up. I hugged him and he wiped his eyes.
"It's alright, mate. You can't get rid of me that quickly." I said trying to make him laugh
He laughed. I smiled. Liam walked forward.
"Harry-"
I put my hand up, knowing what he was going to say.
"Don't Liam. You're my brother"
He looked down and shook his head.
"Harry your heart is enormous, mate. I love ya" he walked over and hugged me
"Love you too, mate"
Zayn came in and smiled.
"Haz, you need to slow down. You're not Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, diving in front of bullet, yeah" he smiled a little
I could see he was afraid to lose me. They all were. They were the brothers I never had.
"Where is he!" I heard a familiar voice shout, "Where is he!"
It was Gemma.
"Bloody hell Harry! What the fuck! I turn on the tellie and see you everywhere. They said you died. I was crying my eyes out. Mum's hysterical" she rambled
"I'm fine. I'm fine. Relax" I laughed
"Yeah, yeah, yeah don't scare all of us again, especially mum" she hit my arm
I winced.
"Oh my god, Harry I'm so sorry" she immediately felt guilty
I laughed.
"Wanker!" she laughed and kissed the top of my head.
"Harry I don't appreciate you scaring us like that" Simon poked his head in
"Aye Simon. I didn't mean to do it on purpose"
He smiled, walked over and hugged me softly.
"Well we need you to get better. The fans are worried to death"
"Yeah and Simon nearly barked a nurse's head off out there trying to find out what was going on with you" Niall laughed
"Simon, you gotta be nice to the ladies" I joked
"Cheeky" he nodded, "I'll let you spend time with your family. I'll come by to check up on you again" he told me before leaving and saying his goodbyes to everyone.
"Look" Eleanor smiled with Edward holding one hand and Ella in her other.
I smiled. She walked over and lifted Edward onto the bed.
"Hi Edward" I smiled
He crawled over to me and onto my lap. He looked down at the gauze and touched it hesitantly.
"Daddy's got an owie"
"Owie" he repeated
"You're such a cutie pie" Lou grabbed him and kissed his face all over.
He smiled and giggled, squirming, trying to get away from him.
"Here's your little princess" Eleanor handed Ella to me
She looked up at me.
"Hi, princess" I grabbed her hand, she grabbed onto mine.
I winced from the pain.
"Here give her to me" Oce stood up
"It's okay" I told her
"You're in pain"
"Am not!" I lied
She pointed to the monitor.
"Your heart-rate's rising. You're in pain, babe. It's okay. I'll hold her" she told me
I gave Ella to her and kissed each cheek.
"I've missed you so much" I broke down
I couldn't deny that getting my family back made me happy but what I went through made me appreciate them even more. I looked around the hospital room and at the faces that stood next to me and around me. They were the faces of the people I loved and the faces of the people that cared for me and stood by me through everything. Tears started to fall down my face.
"Haz"
"Harry"
I shook my head and cleared my throat.
"I love you all. I love you for everything you've done for me"
"Harry"
"No...no please...let me finish. You're my family. And I need you to know how important you are to me"
"We know" Lou nodded, patting my back
I looked around and everyone smiled and nodded.
"We know"
