Domestic abuse.

Rantaro sighed, staring at the bedroom door with sorrow filling his green eyes. He could hear his two boyfriends arguing with each other, one louder than the other. It's the same every day... The three had been fighting for months, Rantaro couldn't remember the last time they'd been a happy trio together. All he could remember was that they were happy at one point, but that felt like decades ago.

Jumping out of his skin, Rantaro flinched as the bedroom door slammed open, followed by Shuichi slamming it shut behind him. Oh no, he's pissed off... Again... Maybe I can calm him down before things escalate? "Hey Shuichi, what's the matter?" He asked, standing up and approaching the pacing bluenette. Rantaro reached out and pulled Shuichi close, caressing his cheek.

"Kokichi hasn't done a fucking thing around here today. He told me to clean when I asked him about it. I'm pissed off, he didn't even look at me when I was talking to him!" Shuichi ranted, frowning as he held Rantaro's hand resting on his cheek. What the fuck does Kokichi think he's doing? At this rate, he's going to get hurt!

"W-Well, we all divided up chores equally, remember?" Rantaro stuttered, not wanting to increase Shuichi's anger to a level of pure, unfiltered rage, something he wished he rarely witnessed. "Kokichi's been cleaning all day while you've been at work. I watched him do extra as well!" Smiling, Rantaro lost hope as he noticed Shuichi's lack of change in expression.

"I don't care, I've had a long day. I'm not doing anything around here whilst you two have been home," Shuichi spat.

"I-I understand you have..." Rantaro hesitated.

"It's not fair Rantaro," Shuichi glared.

Don't argue Rantaro, it's not going to end well for you. "No... It's not..."

Shuichi had always had argumentative tendencies, it was something Rantaro had been willing to overlook. Unfortunately, he now realised why people warned him and Kokichi of the relationship. It'd become worse recently with Shuichi flying into fits of rage often, breaking objects around the house and hitting the two. Rantaro would leave, but he loved Shuichi, he could make things the way they used to be.

Rantaro had a best friend of ten years, Shinguji Korekiyo, who worked as a psychologist. Korekiyo never misses a chance to remind Rantaro of domestic abuse and the warning signs, but the latter refused to listen. He couldn't listen, he couldn't believe Shuichi was an abuser. Shuichi loved them.

"Uh, Shuichi, maybe... Maybe you could talk to Kokichi? Calmly? You should sort arguments out..." Rantaro suggested, hoping that for once in his life, Shuichi would listen.

Shuichi's glare hardened as he shoved Rantaro away. "Get out."

"Please just listen-"

"I said, get out."

Sighing, Rantaro left the bedroom, gingerly closing the door behind him as he forced back his tears. I hate fighting with him, but that's just who he is. Things aren't always peachy in relationships, right? Sulking as he descended the stairs, a sniffle switched Rantaro's attention to the purplette on the couch, hugging himself. "Kokichi..."
