Rantaro clutched the blade in his pocket with disgust as he glared at the pavement. "I wish I could call Kokichi right now so he knows we're okay..." He sighed.

"That's exactly why I said to leave your phone at home. Well, that and the police will assume we're asleep," Shuichi reminded the greenette. The two continued their trek under the cover of darkness, their black hoodies covering their faces as they spoke in whispers.

"You planned this well, it's pretty scary," Rantaro chuckled. It was one in the morning, stars flickering above them with disdain at their future behaviour. They'd left their phones charging at home, knowing it wouldn't look as suspicious in the long run if they were ever suspected of their crimes.

"I knew Kokichi wouldn't approve so he doesn't know we're doing it tonight," Shuichi muttered under his breath.

"Why did you tell him in the first place?" Rantaro asked, turning to face the bluenette.

"You know I can't lie to him when he uses the begging face!" Shuichi laughed.

"Good point," Rantaro agreed. Neither of the two could ever do anything against Kokichi's wishes when he made puppy eyes at the two, they fell for it instantly every time.

"Alright, this is the place," Shuichi interrupted, nodding his head towards the house next to them. Rantaro adjuted his hoodie to ensure his identity remained hidden and noticed a light shining from the crack of the closed curtains above them.

A brick wall encased the tiny walkway leading towards the front door, another opening large enough for a car to enter the garage. Flora (mainly basic bushes) lined the paths with not a minuscule patch of grass to be seen.

"Good, she's awake. Get into position," Rantaro hushed. The two ran towards the entrance as the greenette slipped into the bushes. He watched as Shuichi rang the doorbell and hid amongst the bushes lining the veranda on the other side of Rantaro.

Rantaro skimmed the ground until his fingers wrapped around a decently sized pebble. Gripping it in his palm, the male watched as their victim opened the doorway, her blonde her in a ponytail. Akamatsu groaned and rolled her eyes. "I'm too tired for this shit, I could've sworn I heard the doorbell ring. Definitely time for bed," she muttered.

Akamatsu began to swing the door closed, encouraging Rantaro to continue his part of the plan. The two agreed their first plan was highly unlikely to work but they decided to try regardless. Rantaro slid the pebble along the front porch toward the closing door. As he watched it slide along the concrete, Rantaro held back a gasp as the door shut on it, leaving the door ajar as Akamatsu stomped up the stairs.

The two males remained in hiding before a light turned off inside the home. Shuichi pointed up, causing Rantaro to follow and notice the upstairs light had turned off too, encouraging them to continue their plan. Creeping out of their hiding spots, Rantaro ensured he had his gloves on before opening the door and kicking the pebble away. Once they were inside, Rantaro locked the door behind them and snuck toward the staircase.

Luckily for the two, only Akamatsu was home for the night, giving them ease of mind that they didn't have to worry about family. During school for the past week, Akamatsu ran around bragging that she had the home to herself for the night due to a family trip she wouldn't be attending. This led to her hosting a secret party with most people in her year group, one that Rantaro and Shuichi had attended briefly to learn the layout of the home.

As the two crept up the staircase, Rantaro couldn't help but realise how clean the house was, considering a party full of high-school children had taken place. Elbowing Shuichi, Rantaro pointed to a flashing light creeping out from a door ajar in the hallway. Shuichi nodded and the two decided it was time to act.

Taking a deep breath, Rantaro saw red as he raced into Akamatsu's bedroom, grabbing her from her bed before she could figure out the situation. Shuichi ran up behind him and pulled out a set of handcuffs from beneath his hoodie, slipping them onto the female. Akamatsu attempted to scream but Rantaro anticipated this, grabbing a gag from his pocket and shoving it into her mouth. He tied it as tight as possible around the back of her head, the sides of her mouth stretched by a painful amount.

Akamatsu's head thudded to the wooden linoleum floor as Rantaro threw her to the ground. He stepped on her back as Shuichi untucked a wrench from beneath his belt and swung it into their victim's legs. Rantaro winced as the bones crunched beneath Akamatsu's skin, the woman screaming into the gag. Despite the cringe noise, Rantaro could care less about the woman's well-being or health.

"You shouldn't have hurt Kokichi, otherwise you would be fine tonight," Rantaro spat.

"I bet you don't even feel bad that he's in the hospital, all because of what you did to him," Shuichi added. "You shoved him out of a window and we're going to do the same to you." Memories of the situation at their school a few days prior fuelled Rantaro's ever-growing rage.

Pulling the blade out of his pocket, Rantaro stabbed it into Akamatsu's forearms between her ulna and radius. Endorphins surged through his veins as blood covered the floor from severed veins and arteries. Shuichi lifted his hoodie and unwrapped a rope hidden around his waist. He expertly tied a noose with the rope before dropping it onto the floor.

Rantaro stepped off the woman who cried on the floor, watching Shuichi smash the wrench into her hands and forearms with vigour whilst avoiding the handcuffs. After he finished, he unlocked the handcuffs and pocketed them as they belonged to his uncle who worked as a detective. Both men grabbed the squirming, crying woman and wrapped the noose around her neck, dragging their victim towards the bedroom window.

According to Akamatsu's bragging during school, her parents and twin sister would return after dawn within a few hours. Her bedroom window faced the street, making her corpse the first thing anyone would see that morning, including her family as they returned. Rantaro thought it would be over-the-top and extreme but gave in when he found out Akamatsu's twin sister had a part in the attack on their boyfriend, Kokichi.

Rantaro swung open the two windows, the frame separating both panes. He tied the rope firmly to the bar and helped Shuichi heave Akamatsu's body over the windowsill and out of the home. Having considered taking out the gag, Rantaro and Shuichi decided against it as it would be obvious that Akamatsu hadn't committed suicide.

Rantaro heard a crack as the rope tightened, Akamatsu's neck having immediately broken due to the sudden stop. Akamatsu's body swung against the wall, blood smearing behind her from her arms and dripping to the ground. The two ensured they gathered all of their belongings, laughing together. "Holy shit babe. You're almost as far gone as I am. I love it," Shuichi chuckled.

"She deserved it," Rantaro grinned. "Come on, let's get out of here."
