Shuichi blinked rapidly as he woke up as per usual, attempting to roll over so he could hug his boyfriend Rantaro. His body refused to move though, someone was holding him in place on the bed. "You're awake," Rantaro whispered from beside him. Turning to his side, Shuichi noticed Rantaro smiling at him, terror dancing behind his eyes. Rantaro's ankles were tied together underneath him with his hands tied to the bedframe. That must be why I can't move...

The last thing Shuichi could remember was falling asleep beside his boyfriend as they always did. They had a normal day at school and came home to their shared apartment, he couldn't understand how they'd ended up in their situation. Uncle would've warned me of any serial killers in the area but he said we'd be fine. He wouldn't have let me move here if he suspected danger... Is this a new killer? Having a detective as an uncle, Shuichi had always been on-edge about criminals in his area.

"Are you okay Rantaro?" Shuichi asked, keeping his voice low.

"I'm fine, are you?" The other asked, still keeping his terrified smile on his face.

"Yeah, I think I'm okay... What's going-" Before Rantaro could finish his question, the door opened to reveal a short, purple-haired person.

"Oh! You two are finally awake!" They cheered with a childish grin. The intruder placed two plates of food on the nearby dresser and jumped on the bed. Kneeling in front of the two tied-up men, Shuichi had a chance to analyse their captor's features. Shuichi recognised them as the quiet, shy boy in the corner of most of his classes. "Silly me, I should introduce myself! I'm Kokichi!"

Shuichi opened his mouth to speak, wanting to figure out what the hell Kokichi thought he was doing, although Kokichi leaned forward and placed a finger on his chapped lips. "No need to introduce yourself Shuichi, I already know who you two are!" Kokichi giggled.

"We're not on a first-name basis. Call me Saihara please," Shuichi asked, not wanting to seem too aggressive.

"I have a right to use your first name!" Kokichi huffed, pouting as he crossed his arms and legs. "After all, we're boyfriends!"

"You're insane, we don't even know you," Rantaro spat.

Kokichi's cheerful expression hardened into a frown as he slowly turned to glare at Rantaro. The look caused Shuichi to shiver in his restraints. "Shut up Rantaro and let me feed you two." No one dared to speak so Kokichi grinned again and scrambled off of the bed. As Kokichi turned his back to them, Shuichi and Rantaro locked eyes.

Rantaro frowned and jerked his head toward Kokichi. Shuichi nodded, understanding Rantaro's question. I think our best route is to keep Kokichi happy and calm for now. There's no telling what he's capable of, or his mental stability.

Kokichi jumped back onto the bed and picked up a fork, picking up some food from one of the plates and holding it to Shuichi's lips. He hesitated, nervous to eat the food prepared by their captor. Chuckling, Kokichi took back the fork and ate it himself. "See? Nothing's wrong with the food, I'd never hurt the loves of my life!"

Shuichi sighed and decided to continue with Kokichi's wishes, slowly eating the food shoved into his mouth. Rantaro did the same, although the male seemed more pissed and less collected than Shuichi. Kokichi seems to be unstable but it's in the sense of unrequited love... I don't think he'll hurt us in this state, especially because he claims we're the loves of his life.

"Why are you doing this?" Rantaro frowned as the empty plates were moved back to the dresser. "Leave us alone!" He shouted, struggling against the restraints as his body boiled with rage. Shuichi watched in fear as the stars in Kokichi's eyes fizzled away, the male glaring at Rantaro again.

"R-Rantaro calm down, it'll be okay," Shuichi muttered. He tried to attract Rantaro's attention but the greenette had lost himself in panic.

"We'll never love you Kokichi, what makes you think we ever liked you?! Neither of us knew who you were until now!" Rantaro shouted, his voice growing louder and louder as a few hitches formed.

"Stop-" Shuichi attempted to calm his boyfriend down but Kokichi shoved his hand over Shuichi's mouth.

"No, I want to hear what my lovely, adorable boyfriend has to say!" Kokichi giggled, his voice dripping with adoration but his eyes holding malicious intent.

"If you untie us and leave, we won't call the police," Rantaro threatened.

Kokichi huffed, chuckling under his breath before it evolved into a fit of laughter. His hand dropped from Shuichi's mouth as he doubled over and held his knees as he wiped away hysterical tears. "You? Call the cops on me? They won't arrest me for being a good boyfriend!"

"You're not our boyfriend, you're not even our friend," Rantaro spat.

"Rantaro stop!" Shuichi cried, noticing Kokichi's emotions switching every second.

"Why should I?!" Rantaro cried back, frowning at Shuichi.

"If you don't want your punishment to be worse, I suggest you listen to Shuichi," Kokichi snapped. He grabbed one of the empty plates and chucked it toward Rantaro, hitting him in the head before the porcelain thudded to the carpet, a small chip flinging across the room. Shuichi noticed tears pour from Kokichi's eyes as Rantaro yelped in immense pain, bowing his head.

Kokichi dropped to the ground, grabbing clumps of grey and purple hair in his fists. "Everyone always leaves me!" He screamed, sobbing as he curled into a ball and knelt on the ground. "Why don't I ever get anything good in my life?! Every person I love hates me!" Hyperventilating, Kokichi screamed and cried as his knuckles turned white, his body shaking.

"Listen, we can figure this out. Calm down and please let us go," Shuichi begged, attempting to calm the situation before someone ended up with horrible injuries, or worse.

"No! Everyone just thinks I'm evil! It's always weird this, crazy that, I'm too shy and I'm too annoying!" Kokichi continued to scream. He released his death grip from his hair and hugged his torso, bending over as if he were going to vomit.

"Evil doesn't come close." Shuichi's eyes widened as he noticed Kokichi's body stop rocking, instead only trembling as the purplette stared at the carpet. He glared at Rantaro and shook his head, attempting to signal his error before it was too late. "What?! It's fucking true!" Rantaro defended his insult.

Kokichi stood and held a blank stare as he shuffled towards the corner, causing Shuichi to scream out and fight his restraints. Picking up the baseball bat that Shuichi and Rantaro kept for defensive purposes, Kokichi lunged at Rantaro with the bat raised above his head. Shuichi cried and screamed as he watched the wooden weapon collide with Rantaro's head, his skull cracking as it gave way to the bat, brain matter splattering around them with each impact.
