Shuichi paced the library as he'd been doing for a week straight, searching for the tiniest hint about the mastermind's identity. The killing game had started but, luckily, no one had any intent to kill (as far as they knew). This provided Shuichi with enough time to investigate, his detective mind running haywire with the chance to uncover a mystery or two. Something seemed off about the library, although he couldn't figure out what. No matter how many times he tried to leave, however, the mysterious aura brought the detective right back to the source.
"Hey Shuichi," a deep, masculine voice called from the entrance. Turning, Shuichi adjusted his cap to see his visitor, noticing a green-haired, toned male standing in front of a smaller boy with grey hair, purple dusting the tips of his wavy locks.
"Ah, Rantaro, Kokichi, hey!" Shuichi smiled as he waved to the two. Ignoring the book he'd been investigating for clues, Shuichi jogged toward the two and planted a soft, sweet kiss on Rantaro's soft lips. Turning to Kokichi who hid behind the greenette, Shuichi planted a soft kiss on the top of his head.
"It's nighttime, did you not hear the announcement?" Rantaro asked.
"Uh, no, sorry. I guess I got too carried away with investigating," Shuichi sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he stared at the ground.
"Let's go to our dorms," Rantaro suggested. Leaving the library, the three walked through the silent academy toward the dorm building.
"Hey, Kokichi, how are you doing?" Shuichi asked the purplette cling to their arms.
"H-Huh? Oh, I'm... I'm fine. The killing game isn't fun though..." Kokichi mumbled. "Thanks for asking, Shuhara," he smiled.
"Shuhara?" Shuichi repeated, the mix-match of his names concerning him.
"Oh, I don't know, it's just a nickname I thought of," Kokichi chuckled. Shuichi nodded and shared a concerned glance with Rantaro as the three entered the greenette's dorm.
Due to the lack of killing over the past month, Monokuma (the headmaster of the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles and the face of the killing game) grew annoying and presented a motive. This motive would supposedly bring people to murder, although Shuichi hadn't figured out how exactly that would occur. Kokichi's memories had been erased, well, most of them at least. His only remaining memories had been of everyone he loved.
Somehow, this forced amnesia had altered Kokichi's behaviour and made him more submissive and jittery. He still had his moments of the Kokichi they all knew and loved though.
The three dispersed and prepared for bed, following their usual routine as the romantically connected trio slipped into bed together. Shuichi smiled to himself, glad that Kokichi remembered them during the horrible motive.

Groaning, Shuichi tiredly flapped his arms as someone shook him. "Five more minutes..."
"Kokichi's gone!" Rantaro shouted.
"Ow! Are you trying to make me deaf?" Shuichi groaned as he sat up, the blankets falling around his lap. "Wait... What?" Rantaro's words set in as Shuichi glanced around, noticing their other boyfriend nowhere in sight. The two hurried out of the dorm and ran through the academy in search of the purplette. Shuichi's heart threatened to beat out of his chest as worst-case scenarios ran through his head. What if Kokichi decided to go exploring and someone killed him?
