Kokichi sobbed into his hands, kneeling behind the podium as everyone around him discussed his boyfriend's death. He missed Rantaro will every fibre of his being, all Kokichi wanted was to see him one last time or take his place. "We were doing so well, it's been months without a murder," Shirogane sighed. She was right, the group had even begun to accept that they would be living together to old age.

"Let's go over the evidence," Harukawa suggested.

"Ouma, why don't you cover your ears?" Akamatsu suggested with a caring smile spread across her face. Kokichi loved the woman, she had become the best friend he'd ever had, Akamatsu even helped him become more social since they'd met. "You shouldn't have to relive this."

"No," Kokichi sighed whilst shaking his head. He corrected his posture and gripped the podium bar in front of him with determination. "If it means watching the killer get executed, I'll go through this as many times as it takes."

"If memory serves me right, Amami had been strangled by a rope before being crushed behind a secret door in the library," Shinguji began. "He had been missing for two days before we found him."

A lone tear dropped to the ground as Kokichi hurried to wipe it away. The memories of finding his boyfriend's remains brought neverending despair to waft in a solemn aura around Kokichi. He cried and screamed that morning, having not felt a single thing since the grim discovery.

"I remember Saihara requested Amami's location around the time of his disappearance," Tojo mentioned.

"Oh come on, that's how you're going to accuse me?" Saihara groaned, rolling his eyes. "Don't make this boring! I talked to Amami and left, we were in the hallways on the first floor at the time," he sighed.

"There's something I'd like to mention," K1-B0 muttered. Everyone turned to him, waiting for the reveal. "Uh, I found some fabric in Amami's hand, along with other stuff. It had the exact pattern of Saihara's uniform."

Kokichi frowned, glaring at the smirking bluenette. Being the Ultimate Detective, Kokichi had expected the male to save them from the killing game and stick by their side, not murder someone. "Of course! Only a degenerate male would do something this sick!" Chabashira shouted, her voice piercing everyone's ears.

Saihara glanced around the room at everyone staring at him, silently accusing him of the crime in question. Chuckling, the male began laughing as tears spurted from his eyes. Doubling over, Saihara clutched his stomach as everyone groaned at his behaviour. "Man up and tell us if you killed him Saihara!" Momota shouted.

Momota and Harukawa seemed to dislike Saihara the most, or at least they made their opinions well known. "Oh my God, this is so stupid, I'm dying!" Saihara cried as he wiped away his hysterical tears.

"Answer us, did you fucking kill him?" Kokichi spat, surprising his friends due to his vulgar language.

"I'm not dumb enough to leave behind evidence!" Saihara cried in laughter.

"It's not just that. I found a clump of hair wrapped around Amami's necklace. It was deep blue," Harukawa muttered whilst holding her chin. "Only one person here has blue hair that shade."

Kokichi allowed another tear to drip on his white knuckles as his glare hardened. The only person he cared about was Saihara, although all Kokichi wished for was his eternal suffering. "Fine, I did it, I killed Amami," Saihara sighed, analysing his pale nails.

"Y-You..." Kokichi never finished his thought as his world shattered around him. Although he knew someone amongst them murdered his boyfriend, Kokichi hadn't expected a detective to be the culprit. Despite Saihara's antagonistic, childish demeanour, he didn't seem like someone who'd truly resort to killing, only ever threatening others. It didn't matter whether Saihara was lying (as he usually did a million times an hour) since the evidence spoke for itself.

"Amami was being annoying, he wouldn't let me talk to Ouma. I wanted to be friends but Amami was so mean!" Saihara whined with an exaggerated pout. Is he telling the truth? Could all of this be over a damn friendship?!

"Your solution was to murder Amami? Interesting..." Shinguji muttered from beneath his black mask covering his neck to his nose.

"I... I could've talked to Amami if that were the case! Why wouldn't you just talk to me about it?!" Kokichi shouted, slamming his fists down onto the podium. Pain radiated through his arms but he didn't pay any mind to it, instead, he accepted the pain as a form of feeling since he'd been numb for hours on end. "You didn't have to kill over something so damn stupid!"

"You," Saihara spat, pointing at the Ultimate Supreme Leader. "Didn't give me a chance! Monokuma said that the blackened could save another contestant so I was going to save you, my beloved Ouma!" His golden eyes seemed to swirl as he grinned, although something seemed off about it to Kokichi. He'd seen Rantaro stare at him with nothing but love and adoration behind his eyes, however, Saihara's emotions seemed forced with a hint of truth.

"Why admit to this then?" Akamatsu asked.

"It's more fun this way! You never know if I'm lying!" Saihara laughed.

"You're fucking insane..." Kokichi whispered in the silence.

"It was worth a try," Saihara shrugged. "At least now I can die knowing I tried to make it work."

A small screen popped up in front of the contestants, the face of each living person popping up on it. Kokichi sniffed as he pressed on Saihara's face, returning to glaring at the detective. As everyone finished voting, Kokichi glanced at the screen to see everyone had voted Saihara, although there was one vote for Rantaro. Huh? How the fuck does that make sense?

Saihara smiled as he turned to the group and sighed. "You're all idiots," he muttered.

"What are you saying?" Hoshi asked the question on everyone's minds. Saihara didn't need to answer though as the words 'Not Guilty' flashed on the large screen.

"Puhuhu! Looks like you're all wrong!" Monokuma laughed.

"Who... Who's the killer?" Yumeno gasped, her face pale underneath her black witch's hat.

"Saihara was correct in his vote! Amami committed suicide!" Monotaro informed the group.

"N-No way... He wouldn't!" Kokichi shouted. He never knew Rantaro felt the need or urge to end his life, he didn't even expect pessimistic thoughts.

"He did!" Monotaro laughed.

"I planted all that evidence to make the game more fun!" Saihara laughed. "You all deserve to die after what you've all done. I've uncovered everything, including those Motive Videos." Kokichi's glare dropped as he uncovered the reference. As a motive from Monokuma, the robot bear had given everyone a video detailing their worst crimes. Unfortunately, the videos had been mixed up by the Monokubz, creating brief chaos before everyone decided to throw out the videos.

The world faded around him as Monokuma hit a large red button, beginning the mass execution. All Kokichi could see was Saihara as the trial grounds began crumbling around them. "Saihara, before we die, I want you to know one thing. You weren't the only one who wanted to be more than friends. Rantaro and I both loved you and were planning to ask how you'd feel dating both of us."

Kokichi took a deep breath as he admitted his last secret, something Rantaro and he was both ready to take to their graves. Everyone remained silent, allowing Kokichi to release his last thoughts. Saihara gasped in surprise, his eyes widening as his first true emotion shined behind his hopeful gaze. "Not anymore. I can't help but think you're a terrible person."
