Shuichi watched in horror through tear-filled eyes as Rantaro's body twitched and fell limp, tugging on the restraints. He screamed for the male, blood soaking his green hair as some dripped to the bedsheets and down his face.

Kokichi sighed and rested the bloody bat over his shoulder, turning to Shuichi with a forced pitying pout. "I wish I didn't have to do that but he just wouldn't listen. Shuichi, I hope this has set an example for you. If you make me mad, I can't promise you won't suffer the same punishment," Kokichi explained in an oddly calm tone.

Shuichi's shaky head nodded as he stared at Kokichi with his golden eyes filled with terror. He decided to go along with whatever Kokichi told him, attempting to prolong his life. There'll be a chance to escape at some point, I'll go to the police when I can.

˜*°•.˜*°• •°*˜.•°*˜

Kokichi pulled Shuichi back by his shoulder and reached up so he could whisper into the bluenette's ear. "If you say anything, you know what happens," he threatened. Shuichi's body shuddered as Kokichi stepped back and hugged the bluenette's arm. I don't want my uncle or sister to die, Kokichi's not giving me a choice... No, if I tell the police right now then he'll be in prison for life and my family will be safe.

Shuichi wiped away his tears as he entered a small and almost empty room, sitting at the table across from two detectives. Kokichi hadn't followed him. "You're aware of what this is about, aren't you Saihara?" One of the officers asked after finishing the starting procedure of the investigation.

Shuichi nodded, wiping away another tear. Come on, spit it out, tell them what Kokichi did. "We're investigating the disappearance of Amami Rantaro who is your boyfriend, correct?" The other officer questioned.

"Y-Yes," Shuichi stuttered. One of the officers reached over to the end of the table and picked up the box of tissues, sliding it toward Shuichi who took one straight away.

"Remember, you're not being held here against your will and you're welcome to leave at any time." Shuichi nodded, having already been told this fact the moment he entered the police station. "When did you last see Amami?"

"April twenty-third... He disappeared from our house sometime around then, I woke up and he wasn't there." Memories of the moment after the murder played through Shuichi's mind like a traumatising horror movie. Kokichi had cleaned up the scene with expert ease. He'd used a strange substance to clean any drop of blood that somehow managed to disguise the traces from investigators. During the next few hours, Kokichi had called and texted Rantaro's phone multiple times from Shuichi's as he mourned whilst tied to the bed.

Later that afternoon Kokichi had forced Shuichi to file a missing person report, claiming he wouldn't be suspected of the murder. Now Shuichi found himself sitting in a police station and talking to two detectives whilst his obsessed murderer sat in the waiting area. "Do you know anything about where he might be?"

Shuichi stared at the two, attempting to control his sobs. "No, I don't."

Shuichi sighed as he stared at the wall, the basement having nothing to ease his boredom. He'd spent two months inside the dim, empty room lit only by a single lantern out of reach. Chains shackled Shuichi to a double bed, providing him room to walk close to the walls, only a small part of the basement remained out of reach.

Hearing the basement door's lock unlatch, Shuichi glanced up to see Kokichi jumping down the stairs whilst holding something behind his back. The purplette grinned in joy as he skipped up to Shuichi and kissed him on the top of the head. Shuichi cringed and pulled away, frowning in disgust as he glared at his captor.

"Hehe, you're adorable, my beloved!" Kokichi giggled with a grin. "Come here," he smiled. Shuichi hesitated but did as ordered, too scared to disobey the boy. He had no idea why he ended up in the situation, it'd been a few months since their high-school graduation and the murder of Rantaro.

As Shuichi ended up within arm's reach of the male, Kokichi reached forward and pulled him closer. Shuichi attempted to resist but Kokichi pinned him to the wall and tightened the collar, stepping back the moment he was happy with it. "This has a tracking device and can't be removed without my key!" Kokichi chuckled with glee. "Oh, and it has my name on it so everyone will know you're mine!"

"I'm not a dog," Shuichi spat, feeling the collar and attempting to remove it before he realised Kokichi wasn't lying about the key. "You don't own me, I don't belong to you."

Kokichi huffed and grinned with malice. "You've broken a rule Shumai, you know what that means!~"

˜*°•.˜*°• •°*˜.•°*˜

"I'm home!" Kokichi called as he locked the front door behind him.

"Kokichi!" Shuichi cried, running towards the male and enveloping him in a bear hug. Breaking the hug, Shuichi grabbed Kokichi's cheeks and kissed him deeply, the two making out against the wall. As the two broke apart, Shuichi's grin beamed with joy. "I missed you so much!"

As Kokichi walked further into the home, Shuichi grabbed his arm and hugged it tightly. Kokichi laughed and ruffled Shuichi's blue, untamed hair. "The house is so clean, thank you Shumai," Kokichi smiled as he planted a peck kiss on Shuichi's cheek.

"Anything for the one I love!" Shuichi giggled.

"You're the best, my beloved," Kokichi chuckled. "I need to have a shower, we'll cuddle in a bit." Shuichi pouted but let Kokichi go, allowing him to travel upstairs to shower.

Shuichi couldn't stop giggling to himself as he danced around, listening to the jingle of his collar as he did so, one that he hadn't taken off in years. Kokichi had offered to unlock it but he refused. He loved his life more than anything, he had the freedom to go outside whenever he wanted and didn't need a job as Kokichi earned enough for them to live in luxury.

Skipping over to a shelf in the hallway, Shuichi smiled at the picture of him and Kokichi at their wedding. I'm so glad to be married to the only person who's truly loved me my entire life.
