Chapter 47: The Todoroki Household

The week of solitude passed, and I couldn't have been any more grateful to leave that place.

Midoriya had vanished, but I didn't care anymore. I was sick of it all.
As I was let out, I ran into Todoroki's arms.
He hugged me back.
"Endeavour has already spoken to the school on my behalf. He's giving you your spot back. Also, he wants to meet you." Todoroki said.
I glanced at him.
"I thought you hated him?"
"Ah, he's trying. And I quote, 'I want to meet this Y/N girl. She must be important to you if you're talking to me about her, so when she gets out, let me meet her.' Just give him a chance." Todoroki sighed.

"Aww you talk to him about me?" I smirked.
He rolled his eyes. "Only so you can join school again when the holidays are over."
"Sure, sure." I said, as he dragged me to a cab, taking me back to his place.
"Have your parents contacted you?" He asked.
I shook my head. "They went overseas. Said they would be back before the end of my sentence, but I haven't heard anything yet."

"Well, then you're staying with me. You're free to go home, but..." His voice trailed.
"Yeah, I know, Midoriya." I said, holding his hand as we left the cab, Todoroki paying, as he led me towards his house.
"I'm warning you now, uhm, my sister, Fuyomi, she's going to like freak out because I've never brought a girl here before." He said, smiling apologetically as he opened the door.
As soon as the door opened, a woman came rushing over to us.
"Ah Shoto you're home- oh my god, is this Y/N? She's so cute!" She exclaimed, pulling me to the side.

"Hi.." I said awkwardly.
"Ah don't be so awkward! It's okay, I don't bite." She grinned.
"I take that you're Fuyomi?" I asked.
She nodded. "That's me, the one and only. So he's spoken about me, huh?" She chuckled, as Todoroki stood in the doorway, finally stepping in as he closed the door.
"Todoroki has like, the fattest crush on you. Don't tell him I told you that, but it's cute." She whispered, as I saw Todoroki's face go red.

"Alright that's enough. Come on Y/N." He said, dragging me away from Fuyomi.
"Bye lovebirds!"

When we got into Todoroki's room, his face was fully flushed.
"Are you embarrassed? Don't be, it's fine." I said, sitting on his floor.
"How can I not be? But anyway, my older brother Natsuo comes around occasionally, but not much. My Mother is still in the hospital, but she visits too. Fuyomi has appointed herself as the mother of the household, hence her reaction." Todoroki explained.

"Ahh I see. Am I sleeping in here?" I asked, smirking slightly.
"Well, I could bring a roll-up bed in here if ya want, or, Fuyomi is offering to give up her room. She was going to sleep in Natsuo's whilst he's not here." Todoroki said.
"So is that you saying you don't want to sleep with me? I'm hurt." I frowned.
"Of course I'd want to sleep with you- not in that way, I mean like I like you, but if you want to sleep in a separate room or whatever then you can do that!" He stammered, looking away as his face flushed red in embarrassment.

I went over to him, sitting next to him on his bed, my head on his shoulder.
"Sure, I'll sleep in here. Unless Fuyomi has an objection. She scares me though." I shuddered slightly, as he laughed.
"Well my dad is going to scare you shitless then."

I was scared shitless, as I sat at the dinner table with Todoroki and his family.
I could feel Endeavour staring at me as I ate, as the topic of conversation kept coming back to me.

"Y/N. How long do you plan on staying?" He asked.
"Uhh.." I looked at Todoroki, hoping for him to help me, but Fuyomi stepped in.
"Dad that's not very nice! She's staying with us as long as she needs. Her parents are out of Japan, and we're still worried about Midoriya. She doesn't want to get into anymore trouble. I'll take responsibility of her."
She smiled over at me, as Endeavour nodded.

"Well I suppose that's fine then. Tell me then, Y/N, has Shoto been treating you well?"
"Yes, he has been." I responded simply, placing my empty bowl down.
The atmosphere was very uncomfortable.

"So what is your, uh, relationship, hm?"
"We're just friends, dad." Todoroki said sharply, eyeing his own father, telling him to stop.
But I saw Endeavour ignore him, as he kept his eyes on me.

"But from what the walls have told me you both rather like each other. So why haven't you discussed marriage, or children? A shadow fire-ice baby, that would be strong." He noted.
"You know, these questions are real rich coming from someone who beat his own wife and children. Y/N, let's go." Todoroki scoffed, grabbing my hand as he dragged me to the door.

I nodded my head in thanks to Fuyomi, as Endeavour glared at him, outraged.

Todoroki was practically running, before he stopped at a park.
"He's unbelievable! Really! Fuck I'm just trying to do what's right by you for a friend, and of course he brings up quirks! That's the only reason why he likes me- the bastard hates my other siblings, no wonder Touya left-"
I grabbed Todoroki's hand.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. Come on, let's just chill out, then you can go back. I think- I think I'll head to Izuku's place. His Mother asked to see me when I was out." I lied.
"No, you can stay, it's fine!" Todoroki responded with a small smile.

I shook my head.
"I think I owe his mum an apology. It's my fault her son turned out the way he did, after all."
