It's been about a month and a half with the little guy. Shawn and I have bonded tremendously while Ryder has been gone away at school. But don't let me forget to mention that him and daddy have bonded a lot as well.
I must admit Shawn has been a blessing for my family and I. I actually have real conversations with my parents and brothers and have had my younger brother want to actually spend time with me.
I know eventually I'll have to go back to Lisa and Harold's knowing they want to spend time with their grandson as well instead of coming over every night. Not only that but I think they are getting son sick missing Ryder so much.
Since Ryder is their only child I have a feeling it's different for them with them not making his favorite food for him.
"Alright buddy let's get you dressed." I sleepily said raising Shawn up into my grasp. he giggled giving me a little toothless grin and I smiled walking over to the little makeshift baby counter I made and changed his diaper.
I went over to my closet and began to pick out a little outfit with small booties and set Shawn on my bed. I read the shirt knowing Ryder had bought him this two weeks ago and finally decided that today was the day to wear it. It was a little onsie that said hot shot on it.
I slipped his little head and arms in it and smiled fondly looking down at him. "Who's the cutest boy Mommy knows?" "Me." I turned around to see Ryder walking in from his shower.
He only strutted around in my room in just a towel and I practically died on the spot. It's been difficult trying to have him and I time but I know eventually we'll be able to have it. Maybe not right on the second but eventually.
"Correction, you're Mommy's sexiest guy that she knows." He looked back winking at me. I chuckled picking Shawn up and walked over to him. "Hi." I said getting up on my tippy toes. I placed a long kiss on his lips and he sighed in appreciation.
"Hi, babe." "How was your shower?" I asked. "It would have been better if you were in there." I rolled my eyes and swatted Ryder's chest. "You know I can't do that." Ryder groaned and wrapped his arms around my waist and looked down at me.
"Knock, knock." My dad called. I backed away from Ryder blushing ferociously and looked over at my dad. "Can you actually knock instead of just saying it?" I questioned.
"No because I don't need another little Shawn crawling around the house." "Shawn doesn't even know how to crawl." I defended. My dad rolled his eyes, "When the time comes when another one of him pops out he'd be crawling by then." I groaned. "We weren't even doing anything." "Because I prevented it. Now why did I come in here?" He questioned himself.
"Beats me." Ryder mumbled turning away going to my closet for clothes. "Oh right! Hurry up and get ready! Wouldn't want to be late for the babies first official doctor appointment!" My dad slammed the door and that brought sobs to come from Shawn.
"Here I got it." He said grasping Shawn and bringing him into his embrace. I smiled when I slipped on my shoes watching Ryder lightly bounce Shawn in his arms.
"It's okay, Daddy's got you." He cooed into his ear. I smiled feeling proud of Ryder that he can actually calm Shawn down without my help.
It had took him forever but he finally got it down and I couldn't be anymore proud. I remember watching the way how he got to annoyed with himself but I had to reassure him that it was alright and he'll get it soon. And now he finally has it down.
I placed the pacifier that was on my dresser in Shawn's mouth but not before I wiped it down. He closed his eyes sucking on the little thing and I sighed looking up at Ryder. He watched the way Shawn began to fall asleep in his arms but it wasn't anything new but still exciting for Ryder each time his son went to sleep in his embrace.
"Ready to go?" he questioned. "Yeah let's go, shall we?" "We shall." Ryder said smirking down at me. I grabbed the baby bag and shut my door while Ryder walked down the steps. He crouched down placing the little munchkin inside his little car seat and we stepped outside and got inside my car.
I went in the back seat placing him in the middle and buckled him up.
"You sure he'll be fine all alone in the backseat?" Ryder asked. I groaned. "I'm sure he'll be alright." "I don't know.." He mumbled. I rolled my eyes, "Just get your ass back here and keep Shawn company and I'll drive."
"Okay." Ryder said gleefully. I rolled my eyes as I got into my front seat looking back to see Ryder buckled in safely with him eyeing the baby and I turned the engine on and backed out of the driveway.
I drove down the street carefully knowing it wasn't just mine and Ryder's life in here but our one moth year old's life as well and I do not need us being in another car crash.
I drove all the way down to the hospital and parked safely while Ryder withdrew an air of breath and I turned back and gave him a dirty look. "I thought Shawn and I were going to die." "Oh fuck off you know I drive better than your ass."
Ryder jumped placing his hands on my mouth. "Not in front of the baby." He said moving his head down pointing down at the baby. I looked at him with seriousness in his eyes, "Really, Ryder?" "Yes fucking.. I mean yes really Alex."
"Whatever it won't happen again." I stated picking Shawn up with his carriage and began making my way out of the parking lot while he jogged over towards me scooping the handle out of the grasp. "Let me." He said. I huffed and walked faster.
"Your wish is my command, daddy."
